Is it just me or is this one of the WORST renames in history? The game looks great, it's just that name... ~_~ And I agree with you Legolas_Katarn. I LOVED Langrisser. Why won't ANYONE translate them into English well? *HINT HINT ATLUS* I'd absolutely LOVE a Langrisser Anthology over here, starting with Langrisser I (Since Warsong was REALLY a poor version of II and not I) and ending with VI. Langrisser Memorial for as little as I know of it, was a DC game that came out horribly. But the others were ALL redone on the PC Engine and were NEVER released over here. I think even some of them were released on the PS1... but with VERY mixed results.
Growlanser IV: Over Reloaded piles on in August
Port of PS2 role-playing game to feature new content, including more characters.
The Growlanser series is renowned not only for its multiple endings and branching story paths, but also for its distinctive artwork by manga artist Satoshi Urushihara, known for anime shows like Plastic Little and Legend of Lemear. Atlus recently announced that there will be a PSP reiteration of the fourth Growlanser title, now called Growlanser IV: Over Reloaded. The tactical role-playing game is slated to arrive on August 18 in Japan according to the game's official website.
The game was originally subtitled "Overload," but producer Shinjiro Takada wrote on the site that the previous title did not convey the wealth of new features the game has. The original game, subtitled Wayfarer of the Time, stars a young mercenary named Crevaniel as he gets embroiled in a war between four countries and an impending prophecy which is carried out by a vengeful seraphim. This enhanced port will have additional story paths and event scenes, along with two new characters called D-MD Type and Tricia.
The only Growlanser games that were localized in English were Growlanser II and III (bundled under the collection called Growlanser Generations) and Growlanser V, which was renamed as Growlanser: Heritage of War. These games were released on the PlayStation 2.
