A question, is GTAV coming to PC?. The logical assuption is yes, because all GTA's are on PC but how about the actual facts, any rumors or official word about it? At the very least they can say it will be released for PC with no known date... if it isn't i guess is boycott for me, no that it would help getting it released on pc.
Rockstar Games confirms rumor that hotly hyped sequel includes multiple main leading characters.
Grand Theft Auto V will feature not one, but three main protagonists. That's according to the December issue of the GameStop-owned Game Informer magazine, which includes an 18-page spread with information about Rockstar Games' much-hyped open-world action game.
The character on the far left appeared in previous GTAV marketing material. And the man on the far right appears to be reaching for a gas mask. It is possible he is the same character shown in the game's first official artwork, titled "Pest Control."
GTAV sporting multiple protagonists was first rumored in October 2011 alongside a suggestion that the game would be set in a fictional Los Angeles, California. Rockstar has confirmed the latter speculation as well, revealing that GTAV will be set in a mock Southern California city called Los Santos.
GTAV will be the first title in the series to tell its primary story through multiple characters. However, it is not an entirely novel idea for the franchise. Grand Theft Auto IV focused its narrative on the story of Niko Bellic, but ensuing downloadable expansions depicted Liberty City from the viewpoints of two additional characters.
Rockstar Games last week confirmed that GTAV will ship for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 during spring 2013. Preorders for the game opened this week at select retailers in the United States and Europe. The game's second trailer will arrive November 14.

Suikoden III told the story from three different perspectives...if this will be like that, this could be awesome! Not that GTA V wasn't gonna be awesome anyway lol

I dont wanna play as a female, what I would like to play as for once is a LATINO damit!! WTF rockstar how are you going to have a game in the fictional Los Angeles and not let us play as a Hispanic!?
Rockstar are so revolutionary and cutting edge that they've never had a female character of any real importance. This is cutting edge because everyone that expects cutting edge would think a female character would be cutting edge.
I wanna to back to the 80s, Waaaah. I couldn't care less about the missions as long as I get that feeling of driving alone while GTA's always-awesome-radio tunes play. Aw man. I miss it.
larger world than red dead/GTA SA/GTA4 combined o.O? That's pretty damn big. While I loved San Andreas, one thing i liked about 4 over it, was that the city in 4 felt a way more alive than the cities in San Andreas. San Andreas was certainly large, but the cities felt a bit empty and dead at times. I hope they can keep that feeling in 5.
GTA for me is like coffee. you can add sugar, cream, syrups and flavors but its still just coffee in the end. different missions in a sandbox. woo.
Someone may have commented on this already but, does anyone else feel, without seeing anything more than this release of course, that having 3 protagonists is a convenient way to shorten the amount of scripted content? Instead of one 25-35 hour campaign, they can now make 3, 5-7 hour campaigns?
From what i understand you will be able to switch characters at any time in the game, but you have a active mission you can not switch characters. This will help with replay value because you and play a different character when you play a mission over again.
I'm not sure what they hope to accomplish with 3 different characters to control. I'm only 1 person so unless it's co-op I'm not interested in using and developing more than one character.
Now if it is like I suspect then they probably have 3 different starting points in the game world where they possibly end up meeting in the end. I sure hope they don't switch characters I control every other mission. That would be annoying.
If I get to play through each of their stories before switching characters I suppose it's acceptable. I still don't see it adding any value to the game for me though.
I'm interested to see their plan for this. I sincerely hope there's a scenario I didn't think of but as of now these seems rather gimicky to me. They'll probably have some special abilities or other nonsense.
@Saketume lol i think the same thing, what's wrong with one character? but you know it's R* so it'll be great i just hope they don't fuck it up...the perfect thing would be to be able to enjoy the story with each character just one at a time....finish the game 3 times....who need more replay value than that? :D
Ok so I just read the other gtaiv thread and it's clear that it's "on the fly" switching between the characters. That makes me even more worried. I sure hope they know what they're doing.
I don't see why people are crying for older characters to come back as its pretty clear Rockstar has pretty much dropped there lore and history from the last generation of GTA games because at that time there plots and story were fairly crazy and over the top, as of now it seems R* want to touch upon more believable plots and character arcs so if a character from 3 or SA were to suddenly step in to this world there back story would be just too ridiculous to take the story and the game world seriously. Not that I wouldn't want to see maybe a current generation tommy vercitei or something but I'd rather have newer, believable characters to follow. As for the multiple characters thing I hope they get co op in on this, and if there are specific missions that specific characters can only do but a co op mate could help out in I think they could make that work well too.
Nothing wrong with a cameo. They've already done that with the Lovefist t-shirt so why not allow you to visit their "Reunion tour" gig or something. Believable and a fantastic throw back to the past.
Unless all 3 characters are very well developed, fleshed out, with interesting things in each one of them and most importantly a personality, then, I suppose Rockstar can do this. It's all about how they execute this multi-protagonist idea. Hopefully they do it better than expected, I've been waiting for GTA V for so long now.
Just an observation... WHY DOES THE MAIN PROTAGONIST IN THIS VIDEO LOOK LIKE MAX PAYNE?!?!?!?!?!? Tie-In would be AWESOME!!!
I have been underwhelmed by GTA in the past... THIS, HOWEVER, LOOKS AMAZZING!!!!!
The huge world is extremely intriguing... but I really don't like the idea of multiple protagonists... not sure how that will contribute or hinder the fun...
information gathered from this one picture:the new gta v game lets you play as 3 nice guys, who walk back and forth from the library until they can afford a used hybrid vehicle. starring the voices of elijah wood, wayne brady, and joseph gordon levitt.if i'm accurate here i'm pre-ordering now!
This game will be perfect except one thing, three protagonists should be Tommy Vercetti, Carl Johnson and Niko Belic, and they are very similar with those 3 guys on the picture
Am I the only one who thinks that none of the characters (except maybe the one on the far left) looks very tough at all? The black guy looks like a college student
Hmm. I like to have faith in Rockstar, but a bunch of protagonists is a bit of a task to pull off successfully.
Man bring back Nico Belic he was by far the best antagonist in any GTA game, or at least make somehow a cameo where he is featured, maybe as the boss of a gang or something but seriously Nico owned.
So no Tony Vercetti? Aw that's too bad...I was really looking forward for his return as a protagonist not to mention that he was BY FAR the best GTA protagonist so far!No matter i can't wait for this game!
@rhymesmatter Tommy -- but yeah, it's too bad. I enjoy character reappearances, even if they have to be subtle cameos.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out... I enjoy playing one character, but it was cool in GTAIV to see parts of the story in different perspectives with the expansions, though I know this is going to be different.
@Supperdude9 I was exact opposite, I LOVED GTA4. I will be buying GTA 5 day-one. I've never played a Rockstar game that wasn't amazing.
I also just completed Red Dead Redemption, super awesome game.
