Hitman sequel gets first-time Hollywood director

the movie would have been good imo if it wasnt named Hitman. Its like the director went to great lengths to blow the story line away, which is too bad, because the story line for hitman is unparalleled.

yeah, i hate Hitman movie. especially because that damn love story. "HITMAN is not about woman, bullet and Booooommmm", but about killing with stealth and style. yeaaaaaahhhh....... i hope HITMAN 2 is better 'can somebody tell me game based movie that really follow it games plot?, that will be great....

First movie was bad enough, now we get a sequel? where is the world getting to?

Directors make movies so it could be good and it could dive bomb. The first one was ok for a movie I guess but sucked hard compared to the games. The only game I want to see made into a film would be Left4Dead or Demon's Souls. Boaf of dos would be epic.

Hitman 5 the game. :P What a name. They should leave that as the official name for the game cover, that'd be hilarious, haha.

I doubt the sequel will be any better than the sub-par original, but this new director might give it a chance to do just that.

We gamers are to blame for this sequel being made. Too many of us went to see the movie. I'm just as guilty as the rest of you.

As with all game-to-movie creations, it will fail. They should've learned from their average reviews for the first Hitman and just stop.

I will admit that the actor in the first Hitman had 47 down perfectly. The rest of the movie was crap; the plot was brutal, the ending was REALLY lame, and the "love story" makes no sense as 47 is a cold blooded killer who cares about nothing but wacking people for bling.

Gamers need to understand that when video games are turned to movies, they are written for people who do not play video games. They don't want non gamers not to go see the movie

Tim O will probably take it, mainly because he'll be able to ask for more this time around based on how well the first one grossed, and his recent critically acclaimed Justified series. That, and he'll probably make more doing the movie then for 90% of working on another season (which he will probably do anyways)

So........ Where's the next Hitman game? That's what people are waiting on.

I liked the first movie. Felt like a poor man's Jason Bourne movie. Olyphant had the look and mannerisms down pretty well. Hopefully the sequel incorporates the disguise usage more. And makes it more about stealth than gunplay. Although that may not translate well into a movie.

Wasn't that bad a movie but there are some things I'd do better. The lead actor was too whimpy looking for one.

Olyphant had all the right stuff except a decent stunt and action choreographer, get some of michael bays buddys or the new stunt team thats out that did Ninja Assassin, then we'll have a movie game tie in worthy of something

Skip the movie and put the new game out FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope Timothy Olyphant plays 47 again, he was good in the first one and really good in Deadwood. His new show Justified is really good too.

Should've have been called Turd Raider. ****************************************************************** Tomb Raider movies were just bad. I don't know why they made a sequel. Angelina was the best part of the movie and she couldn't save it. We all know a new Hitman game is one the way. Have some patience. Please no more Tomb Raider games or movies. I would love to see a movie based on Heavy Rain though. Halo and Gears movies would be a given right about now.

@thorughfire You must not watch movies too often. Olyphant wasn't that good as 47. They should've cast the voice and facial template of 47, David Bateson.

I misread the title and thought that the next Hitman game was getting some big-shot director, but when I clicked on the link and read this I was disappointed.

I heard that Timothy Olyphant is coming back as Agent 47, He's a good actor so I hope they dont replace him if he decides not to return. The only downside of the Hitman movie was that every other actor besides Tim sucked, They just didnt bring me into the story ,which was descent. They need to fill this movie with way better actors. Idk if I will see this in theaters but I will definently rent it on dvd.

I have a new found respect for Timothy Olyphant, He plays a semi trigger happy US Marshal in justified and I like how he plays Raylan Givens so far. Although I kinda wish he'd shoot more losers though.

PLEASE MAKE IT GOOD! Part one was a laughing stock and a kick in the ass to Hitman fans.
