Hordes of the Underdark details
Atari and BioWare release new information on the second Neverwinter Nights expansion pack.
Atari and BioWare have today released the first gameplay information on Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark, the second expansion pack for their popular fantasy role-playing game. Currently scheduled for release in November, the expansion will see players embarking on a mission to save the embattled city of Waterdeep from an ancient evil buried deep within Undermountain.
In addition to a new 20-hour single-player campaign, Hordes of the Underdark will introduce epic-level gameplay, allowing characters who have reached level 20 to advance as far as level 40. Other new content in the expansion pack will include new weapons and spells, new enemy creatures, new character voice sets, dozens of new feats, and a number of new prestige classes, including a druidic shape-shifter.
Players who enjoy creating their own levels for Neverwinter Nights using the Aurora toolset supplied with the full game will also be catered to by the expansion, with the inclusion of two new tile sets and other additional content.
