We reveal a new program dedicated to creative writers on GameSpot
We have an exciting new program and volunteer dedicated to GameSpotters who enjoy publishing editorial blogs and user reviews on GameSpot. In the past month we've recruited prolific writers to assist with a new program called the GameSpot Writers Round Table (GSWR). Starting today, you can share your written work in GSWR prior to publishing it.
In addition to being an ideal place to get insights about your writing, the GameSpot Writers Round Table is the perfect place to gain recognition from GameSpot Staff. The experts who will be examining your work are volunteers known as "Justicars". If you wish to become an official GameSpot Justicar, simply submit an application to the community@gamespot.com email with the subject "Justicar Application" with a brief introduction, examples of your work, and why you should be considered.

Jody Robinson's vocabulary consists mainly of first person shooters because of her Quake roots. She's also rather fond of RTS and MMO games.

2 Like This union sounds a lot like the Community Contributions Union back in the days. Glad GS is going back to this, so more user content and writing get features.
@Blutenmonat Awesome union back in the day;Synthia outlines that its inspired by this union. The big difference is having guest contributors on official GameSpot features like Chalk Talk!
Intriguing, most intriguing. How would the Terms of Use for this site effect what is posted there? They're the main reason I no longer post anything of my non-blog or fan-fiction writings on the site.
@JodyR Well, color me Quasimodo! At the very least it'll be a place to post my fan fiction and get some feedback on that.
@Synthia It under section #6 of the CBSi Terms of Use, called User Submissions. It says, basically, that if you post anything on a CBSi site, you give them a carte blanche license (I especially love the royalty-free part), and the only thing you can do about it is delete it or, I infer, never post it in the first place. So, if I write something that I would want to use professionally, I never post it on a CBSi site.
@persianlink Yeah, it's getting so that the only places you can post your stuff, and still have it be yours, is if you have your own website, and even then I'd read the Terms of Use of the hosting company, just to make sure I'm not giving them a carte blanche license.
Interesting. So how does one acquire access to that forum? Until now, only Synthia has posted anything as far as I am aware of.
On another note, should it be of concern that 6 of the most popular forum tags in the box on the right hand side of this website that is displayed while browsing forums are about acquiring Dead Space 3 illegally?
@Synthia I do have access now and posted ahead. I certainly hope this grows to become the awesome feature we all want it to be.
