Inversion delayed
Namco Bandai pushes Saber Interactive's new Xbox 360, PS3, and PC third-person shooter to early 2012; additional time needed to "polish several key aspects" of the title.
Saber Interactive's gravity-flexing shooter Inversion has bent its February 7 release so far it has been broken. Publisher Namco Bandai confirmed with GameSpot today that the shooter will miss its projected release date and is now scheduled for sometime during early 2012.
According to the publisher, additional information regarding the release of Inversion will be provided in an upcoming announcement. As for why the publisher pushed the game, Namco said, "This additional development time will allow the team to polish several key aspects of the game ensuring Inversion is of the highest quality."
This isn't the first time Inversion has been delayed. The title was originally scheduled to make its premiere for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC in 2010, before later being moved to February 7, 2012.
Inversion tells the story of a near-future human race that has been overrun by an invading enemy known as the Lutadore. The invaders bring with them the game's defining gravity-manipulation devices. These weapons' effects are complicated by a rift in the fundamental physical force that ties objects together, causing various parts of the city to become zero-gravity hot zones.

I can't front. This game looks like crap to me.
Perhaps its a good thing, might give me a chance to get the money to buy it soon after.
According to an old issue of GameInformer (the one for Dead Space 2) this game was supposed to come out...in 2010. Considering this isn't even the second, let alone first, time this game has changed its date, I'm seriously getting worried.
Another delay!? Wow. Slowly l o s i n g i n t e r e s t. . . .
Take your time and give us a good game...
Ah, another one of them creepy "polish delays", they always give me shivers...!
I might be instrsted if the game turns out gd but i would like to have demo of this game to make my mind up if i want this game.

"This additional development time will allow the team to polish several key aspects of the game ensuring Inversion is of the highest quality." Always good words to hear from a developer. My interest just went up.
@Cozm1kaos It does have multiplayer.
@unreal_master ah, ok...it does seem like they are putting a lot of focus on this single feature, but that is no reason to think it will suck, it could still be good in other ways. We will just have to wait and see.
Based on the mutterings I've seen around the internet, of all the me-too shooters coming out in the next few months, Binary Domain appears to be the most interesting. ME3 is not a generic shooter.
@megadeth1117 Singularity?
" additional time needed to "polish several key aspects" of the title." means "We're delaying it because our stockholders want more money in the Fiscal Year."
All i am saying is dont base an entire game on one feature.
I too have been really interested in this one for a while now. Always up to trying something different and really applaud that in developers/publishers. Take your time guys; polish it all you want.
If there is online this game would really own!!
Sounds like another Timeshift
@GamerLegend10 Hey man I totally agree with you and I for one am really interested in this game and from what I have seen on this game it looks really good and I like like playing something a little different and a little more innovated then the same thing over and over. Because by the end of the year last year I got really bored of the military FPS's and FPS's in general, Because nothing felt like it was fresh and new except for Bulletstorm and I'm talking the playing mechanic's and Inversion is bringing something a little new to the table like what the first Prey brought at the time.
@unreal_master So your saying that developers shouldn't try to make their games different and shouldn't innovate? Your right that these games dont always work out, but if everyone played it safe then games would never develop...and we need change, otherwise we will be stuck with even more modern FPS's, is that really what you want?
Didn't want to compete.
i hate Delays
Another game with a another gimmick. Fracture,Dark Void the list goes on.
