@Ronald_duck essentially what we get is the same as the Japanese Final mix which is why we don't get Final Mix because the game is the same. When the game comes over to us they add more.
Commemorative Japanese bundle to include upcoming game, Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, and more.
The last time gamers heard about Kingdom Hearts 3D for the 3DS, Square Enix announced that the game would be out on March 29 in Japan and that the company would release a special 3DS with the game's design and patterns. The company recently announced that it would also release a 10th anniversary box for the Japanese market to commemorate the release of the upcoming action role-playing game.
The anniversary box will contain Kingdom Hearts 3D, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days for the DS, Kingdom Hearts Re:coded for the DS, a protection case, 12 Kingdom Hearts-themed postcards, and a special box to house the content. The set will run gamers in Japan 15,000 yen ($188). There is no official word on whether this set will be available for North American and European markets.
Kingdom Hearts 3D focuses on series protagonists Sora and Riku; the game's story takes place after the events of Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. The North American and European versions of the game will be out later in 2012 after the Japanese release.
american releases of kh games almost always come with more content than jap releases so final mix gives japan the same updates with final touches and plotholes filled
@jayd02: Interesting. I've never heard that story, but I believe it's true. It makes perfect sense on SE Japan's part.
@soulless4now That may be true but the story behind it is the reason why. When America got the first KH SE of America (or somebody) added content without letting the other company know. When Japan found out they got upset and they released Final Mix that had the content that was already in ours plus even more. Ever since then they try to give us the bad treatment.
@jayd02: If it's true that they don't like America much, then that's rather funny considering how the franchise sells better over here than in Japan with the exception of Birth by Sleep. Heck, The World Ends With You sold better over here too.
@soulless4now I was thinking the same thing. Sony seems to like these HD remakes and why not do KH? Then I started to think some more and remembered that SE of Japan doesn't really like the America's too much. It is because of that reason we don't get Final Mix of any game.
Square has said after this one there'll be one more side game then KH3 before they work on a new saga so we should see KH3 probably 2013-2014
This is new.I mean,it's KH's 10th anniversary and the anniversary box only contains handheld games.I'm not saying it's stupid, just weird...
Really?! I can't believe all of a sudden they're releasing all the games together with the 3ds too! I already have all those games, will they sell a seperate pack with just the 3ds and Dream Drop Distance?
awww I want it! lol Hurry up and release KH 3D over here already and hurry up and give us KH3 too plz and thank you : D
Very nice but I'm holding out for a 3DSlite/slim/etc before I can get it Bit off topic but with the FF10 ps3/vita port on its way and this being KHs 10th aniversary do you think we could see a similar thing happening for KH1 and 2 this year?
Would've preferred KH 1 and 2 and CoM in HD along with some other goodies. I don't need postcards and the 2 worst games in the franchise.
WHERE IS KINGDOM HEARTS 3 ON PS3 SQUARE????????? that's all we want..........please......pretty plaese
I hope they bring this package out for NA and EU markets because im going to buy a 3DS just for this game. And i might as well get the special package for it. it looks great also i have decided to take up japanese just so i can get the game a couple of months earlier than the english release
That's quite good, a special edition that would be worth getting. @Steba93 If this does come out in the US then it wont cost $188, it would most likely be closer to $100. They are converting yen into $ to give us a better idea of how much it costs in Japan, that is all.
Pretty pricey, $188. I mean, you could get 358/2 days and Re:coded for about $30, they have been out for a while so not exactly new games, and new 3DS games don't cost much more than that.
Re:Coded was highly excellent. Call me crazy but I love the Kingdom Hearts games' overtly complex and multi-tiered character development systems.
