Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 launches November 11
Warner Bros. bringing the boy wizard's building-block adventures to a close at height of holiday release season.
The Harry Potter series of novels grew increasingly grim as the books approached the climactic showdown between Harry and Voldemort, full of weighty subjects like death, betrayal, and redemption. Gamers will soon have a chance to relive the tail end of the saga in children's building-block form, as Warner Bros. Interactive today announced that Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 will debut November 11 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, 3DS, PSP, Wii, DS, and PC.
All of the games will cover the events of the series' last three books: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (which was split into two for the series' film adaptations). Additionally, the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 movie on Blu-ray will also include a demo for the PS3 game.

Why does it seem the Console versions aren't being released at the same time as the PC and DS variants?
I would normally agree that being released the same time as Skyrim is going to hurt it but this is a Harry Potter game, The fanbase is extremely dedicated to it so dont be suprised if this game puts up good numbers against Skyrim.
Awesome
I would be interested in this game if I had been able to complete Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4. Unfortunately, that game crashed constantly, as documented in various forums. Travelers Tales did not follow up with patches to resolve the documented issues with its software, despite the complaints. What i was able to play, I enjoyed. Over and over again, given the sparse savegame mechanism and the many crashes. But what's the point of trusting TT again if it isn't willing to support the players? When TT provides a patch for HP 1-4 and I can finally complete that game, I'll look at this game. Meanwhile, I'll stick to the books and the films. At least, they don't fail.
All of you that want to laugh about this coming out up against Skyrim need to just give it a rest. The Lego games have a huge audience (why do you think they keep making so many of them) and this is a Harry Potter title. The Lego series of titles have sold over 50 million copies. Also asking for random Lego based games isn't going to happen either. If they don't already sell it as a physical Lego set then you won't be seeing it in video game format.
@Scorchstar LOL! I forgot to mention that game!
Not a good idea to release this with Skyrim....
Cute : )
@TheYoshster Err... You forgot MW3. HOW CAN U FORGET MW3!!!!!
I would like different types of lego games... like Lego DC and Marvel. Not saying that this one is bad though...
November truly will be an awesome month! We got the DVD release of Deathly Hallows Part 2(best movie of the year!), the release of Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Skyrim, a new Harold and Kumar, and now Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7!
Look, they're holding move controllers! @bub166 Skyrim and lego harry potter are going for very different demographics, there shouldn't be a problem.
Lego Ghostbusters!!
Moneymus dissapearus.
Lego Halo, please!
All these lego games would be great, if they didn't have lego in them...
Oh how risky to go up against Skyrim and 9 days before Skyward Sword. It always does good due to Harry Potter fans like myself.
The day Skyrim comes out? Lol.
Why couldn't they had put the rest as DLC?
Not really interested in this, the films are pretty good though.... I'd love to see another Lego batman, it was actually pretty fun and funny and a little challenging. How about some other franchises.... Lego Marvel Universe Lego Fallout....I'd play it lol Lego Robocop Lego Terminator Lego Star Trek Lego....dare I say it, Battlestar Galactica Lego Justice League....
They need to make Lego Lord of the Rings Trilogy and Lego Matrix Trilogy. I mean, come on already!
When they inevitably release a budget-priced edition combining both games for years 1-7, then I might be interested.
I wonder what's next for the LEGO franchise. Lego Star Wars: The Clone Wars II, perhaps?
Neat :D
Right...like there isn't a million games already coming out in November.
Isn't there a Vita version that's going to be a launch title in the US with the console also?
Just like the books & movies I'll pass
Woohoo! Hopefully I'll be done with Uncharted 3 by then!
Nice. Been looking forward to hearing something about this for a while.
Wonder how the darker tone of the last 3 years will apply to a kid friendly series.
Yippy!
