Logitech to release PS2 USB headset
The new headset will be slightly different from the one bundled with SOCOM.
Logitech has announced that it will release a new USB headset for the PlayStation 2 later this month. The headset will feature a digital USB processor, as well as a noise-canceling microphone to improve audio quality. It will also feature an adjustable headband, interchangeable ear pads made out of velvet and foam, and a 10-foot cable.
"The bundle of SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs from Sony Computer Entertainment America with a Logitech headset broke new ground by providing gamers with a great game featuring command recognition and voice-over-IP functionality, plus a high-quality headset in a single-package solution for the PlayStation 2," said Fred Swan, director of marketing for Logitech's audio and interactive entertainment business unit. "This new retail USB headset allows these gamers the opportunity to enjoy the same high level of headset performance and compatibility with additional comfort and cosmetic features."
