Lumines Live on XBLA this week?

well, i hope it's true, but... there better be just ONE version to buy. Multiple purchases to make one FULL game, is just wrong. It's not like we buy Xbox game discs by the 1/4th....

Strangely, GameSpot said nothing about the developers saying it would be released in the middle of THIS month. What date is it again...?

Hopefully it will come this week. If so, I will own those achievements! :P

Xbox europe newsletter said its already out, but since live is currently down for 'scehduled maintenance' theres no way to check.

My bet is that it's going to be Contra. Besides Lumines, it's the only game listed on xbox.com that is not yet released.

Well before we all get too excited lets remember those stupid burger king games have had their achievements listed on the same site for about a week before Lumines popped up. Heck, Marvel UA has had its achievements up there for about 2 to 3 weeks now and it doesn't launch till next week.

I think I'm going to have to download the demo first, never played this game before but looks fun.

Might be on tomorrow, I'm not sure what the point of taking down Live is if you don't add anything to it.

Lumines on the 360 would be cool 8)

If I had a 360, I would be interested in knowing when. I played it on the PSP and liked it.

Knowing the acheivements means nothing. When you work for a developper you have access to PartnerNet, wich is the testing network that simulte xbox Live. With this network I knew the acheivements of Texas Hold'em 4 months before it came out. I was playing the game on my lunch break. I know Lumines is on that network right now, for testing purpose, it doesn't mean it's ready to ship. It could, i'm not saying it won't happen this wednesday, I just say it's no indication that it will, still could take months!

Its either Lumines or UMK3.

My xbox live newsletter says its out now so I think it'll definatly be out this week

It is probably NOT bogus... the Xbox marketing dept slipped up on their "pipeline" site they were testing last week and it shown DigDug and Lumines Live as the "new releases".

"I realy want this game but will NEVER BUY IT if they make me pay for portions of the full game. I hope we all do the same. This micropayment stuff is evil." If making a profit is evil.... you know most Arcade games are produced by non-Microsoft entities... That's like calling Starbucks evil for puttin a price on their coffee

The whole point of these XBLA Wednesdays was so that we wouldn't be left guessing as to which new Arcade games would be out each week. I mean, what happened to the upcoming Arcade schedules that they put out when they first announced XBLA Wednesdays? They did that maybe twice, but now we're back to playing guessing games to figure out which game will come out next. :angry:

They dont need to shut down XBL just to add an arcade game. We might get it this week, but it has nothing to do with the scheduled maintainance. duh..

It won't be Contra, because the achievements haven't been revealed yet. The only arcade game to release without the achievements being revealed first was Doom, and even that was only b/c it was a big secret.

I can't wait! I hope it's true because I've been longing to play Lumines again ever since I sold my PSP.

On this weeks Major Nelson Blogcast, Larry said that this weeks game is going to make allot of people very happy.

If Lumines doesn't come out then I'm assuming Contra will and I want that game more so I'm hoping for Contra

When this game hits Live Arcade, my PSP will officially become useless. I don't have a problem with paying upwards of $25 to $30 for the complete experience of this game. Lumines is one of my favortie games, and I couldn't be happier to play it on my HDTV.

Show me the achievements for any other arcade game that isn't out yet...good luck finding any, because none have been released, except Lumines Live. Look, they updated the marketplace page on xbox.com with a large Lumines ad. I'm pretty sure I've seen achievement lists for games on achieve360points.com WEEKS in advance. I hope it comes out this week, but just because the achievements got posted on the a360p website means very little, if anything at all. There have been at least three or four instances where they have posted achievements lists and I've taken it as a hint the game's release was close, only to have to wait for another month or two.

I am in hot anticipation for this game. I love lumines on my cell phone!
