$1.50 for a share? guess that's better than some of those upstart companies that start out less than a quarter.
Game company regains confidence of stock exchange; Psychonauts publisher meets requirements, won't be delisted.
During 2005, Majesco was left for dead on Wall Street, taking a drubbing that saw its stock fall to under a buck at one point. Times were hard for the company, and Nasdaq even notified it that it was in jeopardy of becoming delisted.
Those fears came to rest today, as Majesco announced that it has regained compliance with the market and will not be taken off the nation's second-biggest stock exchange. Had it, it would've joined such other fallen publishers as Interplay as an OTC--or over-the-counter stock.
Following disappointing fiscal quarters, a subsequent fire sale of Majesco's licenses to other game companies and a new concentration on budget-priced games has seen the company prop itself back up momentarily. The company reported a profit of $839,000 for its second quarter, which ended April 30.
Majesco's stock was down two cents to $1.50 a share at the end of trading today.
they need to come back i want my advent rising trilogy to be complete i dont care about the glitches i loved that game.
If anyone played Phantom Dust, they should know Majesco needs to stay around. The make some very creative games!
"If i dont care about Majesco no one does" lol I hope they dont fall and I also hope they publish another Double Fine game
It seems that the changes made by Majesco will ensure that it will continue be listed in Nasdaq. It was a shame that some of their games performed below expectations. I'm sure that they will be succesful with their new approach.
SocaWarrior, they did have good ideas, look at Psychonauts. Critically acclaimed, but didn't sell at all. Hold on Majesco, things will get better somehow.
That sucks. I hope my company doesn't have that happen. They need to come up wit some good ideas. I never even heard of these people.
I really loved Psychonauts... too bad the license was dropped and hopes for a sequel have been all but destroyed.
Pyschonauts was so cool! Thats too bad I guess I mean they have to find a killer game franchise if they're going to get back in business. With that low of a budget it may not happen...
