Mass Effect, Dragon Age voice actor dead

He really did have a distinct voice, didn't he?  I thought all the voice work was quite good, but his voice work was SPOT ON for who he was playing.

I wish he had more lines. He was so entertaining.

Damn that sucks.  I _loved_ his portrayal of Zaeed.  Such a distinctive voice with such flawless delivery.  61 just isn't that old these days.  I feel for his family.

I never noticed who supplied the voice for Zaeed, which makes it a testament to his talent that I never recognized his voice as Ethan Rayne's while playing Mass Effect 2.

Just played mass effect 2 again last week and always had him on my team to hear dat awsome voice. Loved his sponge bob voice over appearance.

NOW SADNESS.....

Loved him as the actor that he was, perfect voice for Zaeed. My thoughts are for his family. RIP.

I have played both Dragon Ages and I have no idea who Pyral Harrowmont is. My memory is total shit. Anyway, that really sucks. Never good when anyone who is not evil dies.

I am very sorry to heart that. My thoughts are of Robin Sachs' family. Listening to his performance of Zaeed was refreshing. Zaeed was a part that could have been so easy to have a "phoned in" performance. An old, war hardened bounty hunter. Couldn't you just imagine how cliche another voice actor could have made the role?

Yet Sachs was able to see the man behind the bounty hunter. He made him sound more tired than grim. When you listened to Zaeed's war stories on the Normandy in "Mass Effect 2", he never made Zaeed sound like he was bragging, choosing instead to make him sound proud of his career. When he talks about killing a Krogan, Zaeed sounded like a Grandfather giving a "word of the wise" to the future generation.

And future generations will continue to listen to his tales for decades to come. Sachs didn't need to make Zaeed sound like that, but he did and the universe of "Mass Effect" is all the richer because of it. RIP

Zaeed was such an unexpected surprise, and yet to me he is one of the most memorable characters from the Mass Effect series.

Ok, Mr. Eddie, the news editor, I have an issue with the way you represent news.

When I googled it the article from gamebeat came up and it says " Friends described his death as ?unexpected,? but sources indicate natural causes. No official cause of death has been announced."

The cause of death is unanouned, yet you posted the news with voice actors character smoking a cigarette, which can very well be interpreted by many that the said person died of smoking related symptons, or smoking contributed a significant part in his demise.

Yet there was no official announcement on his 'cause of death'.

Even though GS is not a public sites that general public frequent, as an news editor, shouldn't you be more objective when reporting the news?

Makes me wonder what media critics would say about this "unintentional", "purely concidental" selection of photo with his demise and it doesn't imply anything that's not officially announced by doc.

Farewell, Mr. Sachs.  You truly embodied the roles that you took up with spirit and enthusiasm.  Your talents will be greatly missed.  May you rest in peace.
