Raiden-focused bundle to include soundtrack, two-sided steelbook, and plasma lamp; Zone of the Enders HD Collection premium bundle packs in 100-page artbook.
Konami announced a Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance limited edition today, revealing the premium bundle for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will include a copy of the game, its soundtrack, a two-sided steelbook, and "high-frequency katana plasma lamp." The limited edition will be available alongside the standard iteration at launch on February 19.
The Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance limited edition is not the only premium bundle Konami announced today. Due out on October 30 for Xbox 360 and PS3 will be the Zone of the Enders HD Collection limited edition, which includes a copy of the game inside special gold and metallic packaging. Additionally, it packs in a soundtrack featuring remixes of music from the franchise, as well as a 100-page art book with illustrations from Metal Gear and Zone of the Enders artist Yoji Shinkawa.
The Zone of the Enders HD Collection limited edition also includes a demo for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Standard copies of the compilation pack also include access to the demo. Konami did not reveal pricing information for either bundle, and a company representative was not immediately available for comment.
They would have to pay me for defiling metal gear with revengance (What a stupid name).
Zone of the Enders HD looks cool though.
How I would love to play the real kojima productions Metal Gear Rizing :very sad face:
Noob question: do you need to play these Zone of the Enders game to complete the Metal Gear saga or these games aren't related to Snake & Co.?
@expeditopaz2008 Yes. In my opinion, it still has a gap in story of the Big Boss and Outer heaven plan. I am waiting to see more.
@expeditopaz2008 The only connection is that Jehuty (the Orbital Frame/Mech you control in ZOE 1 & 2) makes a cameo appearance in MGS3 as a figurine.
@expeditopaz2008 Aside from the fact that both series are from the same creator, they have no relation whatsoever, however the ZoE games are a must own for every action fan.
ZOE is a good game but once you finish it there is no reason to play it again, and the MGRR it looks like Metal Gear meets Devil May Cry
No PC release for Zone of the Enders remake?
Welp, another game added to my list that I'm dying to play but can't.
At this point they couldn't give me MGRR. I would accept it with a Full HD remake of MGS... But Zone of the Ender wasn't good enough to get me to try this game... I predict a very low score and a new rule of thumb for Konami in the future... don't let scrubs finish an already poor concept, Just Scrap it.
@DemannameD shut up nab
just because YOU dont like it doenst mean the games aren't good
the games are awesome and a must for mecha fans.
go back to cod or whatever craps u were playing kkthxbb
@Albaficas Don't be a fanboy douchbag. I I never said I didn't like ZOE or mech games... And I am obviously a COD fanboy BECAUSE? your an idiot. I ? MGS = MGRR looks like absolute CRAP. And I was pointing out that ZOE HD isn't enough to get me to try it.
Wow after watching that game play video I'm not excited about MGRR anymore. At first I thought it was going to be kinda cool and have some unique features, but it looks mediocre at best. The game look like a faster paced afro samurai to me (which I did like) so maybe I will like it. I still own both my copies of the original ZOE love the series. anime wasn't bad either.
Kinda reminds me of how they packaged the original ZOE with MGS2 demo, which really helped drive sales just because people wanted to get their hands on whatever little bit of MGS they could. That was before people could just download demos though and I don't think people are quite as fanatic about the series anymore.
@dualblades Could be right, especially since this is revengeance and I'm not as excited about it as I am about the new MGS coming out. Still, I always wanted to play the ZOE games now looks like I have a reason to :).
please, stop releasing these high definition re-releases of ZOE and actually make a NEW GAME!!!! I was in high school when I finished playing the 2nd one. that was around 7 years ago!
@unwell-7 The HD re-release of ZOE can be seen as Konami testing the waters to see if there even is enough interest to make a new game. Remember the ZOE3 concept was shown back in May but they stressed that the game has not gone into actual production yet. Strong sales of this HD release (relatively speaking of course) could potentially greenlight the project for full on production.
@unwell-7 I was in year 7 or 8. Never played the first one but Second Runner was a blast for me. The game ran smooth on large battles. Anime cutscenes was fun to watch. At least the game was diverse and unique. I replayed the game several times.
Best LE I ever got was Persona 4. I really love when they put artwork book in the package but is got be a 100-pages book ALWAYS!
This looks very different to the typical Metal Gear style, but still looks very fun.
Its got an open style Metal Gear world with a ninja style to it and what looks like mortal kombat style breaker moves.
Nice mixture in my opinion, ill defiantly be trying this out!
I love the Metal Gear franchies
Never played the first and rented the 2nd on a whim and it turned out to be one of my fav beat um games of that era. The second game isn't pretty (even for it's time) but it plays so well I could hardly be a**ed about the constant sh*t brown of the world ;p I might pick this up just to replay the 2nd game and try out the first. If the price is reasonable.
@Devil_wings00 Both ZOE games were good games, in terms of gameplay and visual design....not sure what your smoking but pretty much every review at the time said both ZOE games looked amazing.
I rarely say no to a good soundtrack, but I doubt Rising's is being written by Harry Gregson-Williams. :o( A katana plasma-lamp sounds very cool. I'll probably get the Rising limited edition. Whether or not I get the ZoE one will depend on the price.
I'm a sucker for artbooks and soundtracks, when they're for games I really like at least. Looking forward to playing ZOE again.
Remember buying the first game just for the MGS2 demo and loving the hell out of the game. Second Runner blew my mind. Wish they would have added 3D compatibility. PS2 games in 3D are amaaaaaazing!
YA, I could of swore when I bought that game, you could do a finishing that kneed them in the cockpit to destroy them. But that wasnt the case :(.....
Not to sound like a n00b, but I never had a PS2 so could anyone please describe to me how Zone of the Enders plays like?
ZoE 2 playes like Dragon Ball should have. Nuff said.
Favourite special abilities:
Zero-shift = Instant Transmission.
Vector Cannon = Gogeta Kameha x100
Obs: I don't recall any other game where you can lock-on to 50+ enemies at the same time, only to unleash homing attacks on all of them at the same time.
Best game I ever played on the PS2, period. How fast the game plays only depends on how fast you can manipulate your controller. Epic stuff!
@kirye223 You fly mechs that handled like action heroes sort of . It's like a great Ironman game, before those crappy Ironman games came out.
ZOE1 was decent, but came out near PS2 launch.
ZOE2 was AMAZING. Like it's been mentioned, watch or read reviews. Late! :P
@kirye223 I recommend watching gameplay videos on youtube, or reading reviews.

The aerial combat is still thrilling, but some inexcusable issues make Zone of the Enders HD Collection a disappointing repackaging of two cult classics.
