Metalheart site opens
Akella launches an official Web site dedicated to its upcoming tactical role-playing game, Metalheart: Replicants Rampage. First screens inside.
Akella has today launched an official Web site dedicated to Metalheart: Replicants Rampage. The previously unannounced tactical role-playing game, which is scheduled for release later this year, will see players controlling a team of up to six characters who have become stranded on a strange planet after a spaceship crash. Character types in the game will include replicants, cyborgs, mutants, and nomads--each with its own special combat, healing, and camouflage abilities.
The combat in Metalheart: Replicants Rampage will be turn-based, and as players progress through the game they will be able to enhance their characters with cybernetic implants. In addition to engaging in the missions that drive the game's storyline, players will have the option to carry out randomly generated quests.
Akella will be publishing Metalheart: Replicants Rampage in Russia in the spring, but publishers for the rest of the world have yet to be confirmed. We'll bring you more information on the game as soon as it becomes available.
