New Assassin's Creed on the way

Why was I sent here from a Far Cry article?

What if the next game's story would take place in WW2 Germany? During the game's missions we would assasinate the top leaders of the Third Reich regime... who would, of course, be Templars :) ...okay, I'm ready for the RANT FLAMING :D

Not Japan Ubisoft. Your historical research has been good so far so, so you will know that ninja DID NOT EXIST! They are a modern fabrication. What ever the setting I can only hope it isn't anything the fans want because AC was so unique it got me sucked right in. Adopting popular fan ideas takes the surprise out of it for me, although I do expect it to head to Asia at some point.

bring AC to the philippines! a filipino hero, with the famous Lapu-Lapu (as an assassin) killing Ferdinand Magellan!!!! with all the edged weapons filipino martial arts are famous for, it would make a FANTASTIC setting for an AC game. there are jungles and s**t... and they could use volcanoes for the settings of tomb exploring!!! i think it'd be awesome

I'm totally pleased, and as a matter of facts, very glad I get to play a new AC game every year. People who rant about the yearly release are plain stupid: The reason why the AC games are made yearly (and it has been stated quite a number of times) is because EACH AC game was/is made by a totally different team in a different country. To me, that alone is more than a legit explanation. Still not happy? Don't buy it yearly and do us fans a favor and stop ranting like an unhappy wife.

I'm not too hot about the Co-op thing. AC has ALWAYS been about the joy of exploring, tracking, investigating, spying, tailing, and killing ALONE. That feeling of lonesome hero should NOT be tamed. Training assasins wasn't bad as it's up to the player whether or not to summon them/use their help.

And last, but not least, my dream settings would be Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, Feudal Japan, Imperial China, or Medievil England.

I really dont know if this will be the only one, but I do think there will be an ancestor in the first civilization.

can people (game designers) *ahem* understand not every game should be a co-op feature. if they go thru with the co-op . all assasins creed lovers will die, and everyone whop like the game can say goodbye to no more assassins creed.

What i hate about Ubisoft is that you can´t change the game language. They put out all their shit in your mothertounge. Reading norwegian menus and subtitles is so pathetic.

Well the game (ASSASN.CR3)it's natural for the game as it was very well made and very nice to play.to go on.I never believed to see the last of it.Looking forward for the new story mode, Brazil dosen't sound bad,and maybe be made in a much modern era.As for far cry THE SOONER THE BETTER. GREAT GAME, WONDERFUL CHARACTERS, AND A BEAUTIFUL ISLAND.I hope they don't take long I hope it is made soon because I'm getting older and my reflexes are getting less if they take 100 years to make it.

i dont think their is more suitable place to start a new story than ancient Egypt

The first civilization coincides with the ancient alien theory of creation. Therefore I think ancient Egypt would be an awesome setting for the next game. It would allow you to uncover secrets of the first civilization, as well as perhaps a motive for Juno??

I only play AC for single player lol. Hopefully AC4 will be polished unlike AC3 was. Tellin ya I just played all 5 of them in the span of a month and a half, AC3 was the worst out of them all. Graphical glitches, shitty character development, some very annoying combat bugs, ect (it's been like 5 months since the game came out so by now that's unforgivable really). Hell far cry 3 seems like it had been givin a lot more attention. Be very slow with this next one ubisoft, don't try to cram as much shit onto the disk as you can and cut corners again.

It might be time to go to China. It's inevitable! I think.

Not gonna lie, kinda hoped ubisoft was going to work on a new prince of persia.  Can't blame them for the AC milk.. 

Just because they release every year doesn't mean that they've only worked on them for one year, they said it themselves

Like Mass Effect 3, they killed the series with #3.  I'm not buying another one.

What would be interesting is if they allow you to somewhat create your own character. Especially since they killed off Desmond. Maybe even create the way our ancestor will look. Have an animus world and journey around the real world. But of course we know they wont do that since it's going to release this year or next year.

Now that *Spoiler Alert* Desmond's dead, i hope they use the opportunity to really change up the series, it desperately needs a fresh start (or restart i should say). Maybe even change up things like the combat system or add more stealth! 

Hope Ubisoft doesn't listen to any of the whiners. This franchise is one of the best and the devs work hard to create a rich single player campaign. Very few games where you get this kind of experience.

I'm STOKED! After AC3 I replayed it again and again. Need to get my AC fix every year!

I love the AC series but I am worried that it has run it course. I am wondering what they are working on to keep the lattest version fresh?

Desmond dead so a new Protagonist

Please Ubisoft don't milk the heck outa AC. You were doing well up to AC II. If there's a different protagonist then dear god I hope this is something in the making for years behind the scenes. If not, well you understand people are getting tired of regurgitated material. 

I seen artwork on ign or gamespot i cant recall, but they did atwork on the next AC they thought would be good and it was set in China or Japan i believe..and it looked epic.being a ninja and assassinating people..please do that!

Well you got to be honest here. I've always enjoyed playing an AC game yet I've never thoroughly been satisfied with an AC game when I look at it as a package. I can bet that AC4 can survive in the gaming market even if it just brings good graphics and gameplay to the market.I just don't want them to add any shit mechanism again like the trade system.And it's better for all you Prince of Persia fans to get yourself outta here!!!The franchise comparison can't be done here.The AC franchise is far more superior.Plus,I guess the next-gen consoles will only help the franchise.

ACR's story was so bad that I didn't even bother playing the single player of AC3! Multiplayer is still fun though :P

I have nothing against annual releases to be honest, as long as they are well made games. Unfortunely, I can't think of any annual franchise that actually releases well made games: since AC got annual releases, the games have been filled with bugs and glitches and feel unfinished. And don't get me started on the PC versions: AC 3 was one of the worst ports I've played in my life, I was geting 10 fps in Boston, for fucks sake.

If you want to annualise a franchise at least do it right.

Wonderful. More cookie cutter crap that was revolutionary in AC2. And what anticlimactic horrible ending are they going to slap onto this new one? I think the fans should be fed up with the series by now. I sure am. 5 freaking games, little to no movement on the Desmond story, the horrible ending that played out in the last AC game, and the mediocre gameplay is becoming stale and old. 

There's going to be tons of hype, tons of pre-orders, and tons of disappointment. If Ubisoft can keep repackaging the same content and reselling it to gamers without any real change, then they're going to keep doing it.

Don't expect anything monumentally different. Same old substance with a few new moves, maybe a weapon or 2. That's all.

I will be honest..I disliked Ezio a lot...and I simply couldn't take him as an Assassin...

Holy crap nice sales for Far Cry 3. It was a major improvement from Far Cry 2, well deserved.
