New El Shaddai is social game spin-off
New title to be on GREE platform; players form team of three angels to fight in turn-based combat.
Last month, a new El Shaddai project was teased. Recently, UTV Ignition shared a video on the game's newly launched official site showing a spin-off of the game on the GREE social game platform.
Dubbed El Shaddai Social Battle, the game allows players to build a party of up to three angels to partake in quests to climb up to the top of a tower, mostly through turn-based conflict. The game encourages players to team up with other angels to fight against rival angels protecting the tower.
No concrete release date has been set as of yet. El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 was met with a warm critical reception.
