Nintendo releases new screenshots from Link's first adventure on the GameCube.
Nintendo has updated its official site with new screenshots from The Legend of Zelda for the GameCube. Players once again play as Link, who must rescue his sister, Arell, from the clutches of some evil being. The targeting system from the Nintendo 64 Zelda games makes a return appearance in The Legend of Zelda, allowing Link to focus his combat on a single enemy at a time. In addition, Link can perform a spinning slash to hit multiple foes at once.
The Legend of Zelda is scheduled for release in early 2003.
