hell yes! MGS is like playing through a movie. ive always thought that MGS game would make a sick movie if ever someone done it. glad its happening :)
New Metal Gear Solid game, movie confirmed

Open-world Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes unveiled at Japanese MGS 25th anniversary event; movie based on the series to be produced by Columbia Pictures.
After years of fan speculation, Konami and Metal Gear Solid series creator Hideo Kojima have finally confirmed the next chapter in the famed stealth franchise--Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes.
The new game was announced at a Tokyo event celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Metal Gear series. While few official details have been released about the new title, it has been confirmed that it will run on the new Fox engine being built by Kojima Productions. Website Andriasang also reports that Ground Zeroes will be an open-world title, and is targeted at "current generation specifications."
As well as announcing the new Metal Gear game, the Metal Gear 25th Anniversary event confirmed that a movie based on the series is being made. Producing the film is Avi Arad, the former CEO of Marvel who is probably best known for being at the helm of Marvel's cinematic resurgence, with films like the original Spider-Man trilogy, the X-Men trilogy, and more. Columbia Pictures will be distributing the film. No further details--such as a release time frame, directors, or actors--were disclosed.
Kojima Productions also announced a new smartphone game in the works called Metal Gear: Social Ops. The game is a card-based action title that recaps the events from previous Metal Gear games. The title is also running on the Unity engine. Metal Gear: Social Ops will be out worldwide later this year and will also be playable at this year's Tokyo Games Show.

Hmmmm - X-Men Trilogy Hum Hugh Jackman can pull off snake. Over exposed - maybe. Look at Captain America in Avenger; we forgot all about Fanstatic Four (Human torch)

yeah, which means it wouldn't be Solid Snake bc with solideye he would not need ENVG, the only other person would be Solidus, it's a long-shot, but even the MSF logo is mirrored, and it doesn't say MSF over the logo (or the full name), and read the other article about it when they talk about the demo, a man taking off XOF logo's from his choppers and such (which is FOX backward lol), they also state that from FOX, two phantoms were born, so this may be hideo's way of putting Solidus and BB on a game, the reg. pic maybe be big boss, but this mirrored one may be Solidus, picture this imaged mirrored so that it looks like BB, than picture the two back-to-back :), an intense theory, but I know Hideo and MG, it's definately plausible.
@KainL i just saw the mirrored pic. when its mirrored the eyepatch is on his right eye, ...BB? the mirrored pic has kojima's FOX logo in the top corner, but this one doesn't? maybe thats the original pic. Agreed its not SS because why would he wear an eyepatch? but Solidus lost his left eye in MGS2, and when he lost his eye, he was old with grey hair already. Compared to this pic where this "snake" is young
It's not a clone. It's probably not Solid Snake, and it's definitely NOT Solidus. I'm betting on Big Boss.The game will probably be another prequel, taking place sometime after Peace Walker. Notice the logo on his shoulder - that's the Militaires Sans Frontieres logo, worn by Big Boss in MGS: Peace Walker.
@Animatronic64 Yeah. Why are people even discussing this? It's obvious that's Big Boss and it's obvious that this is a prequel to MGS (the original MGS on PSX). I was hoping it would be the story of Snake working for Fox hound and taking on Big Boss for the first time... which it very well could be. A remake of Metal Gear.
maybe he could be a clone of Solid Snake, so he would be a clone of a clone, and age even faster that the entire game would encompass his entire life. So that He can be called Solid Snake version 2.0 or something.
I've always said it and stick by it. I think Josh Holloway (aka Sawyer from Lost) would be perfect for Solid Snake. he has the husky voice and looks the part.

it said the demo was running on a pc projecting what it will look on the consoles because all programing is done on a pc you idiot...its not coming to pc's...learn to read
I'd rather it be CGI with hayter's voice....but then it would be a MGS game without any fighting or gameplay scenes...lol

its not a campy evil dead movie...its a bad ass movie, ok army of darkness was badass but in a campy way....and i wan't david hayter's war torn, cigarette voice, not a bassy sarcastic campy james bond esque GQ voice bruce has....love bruce....but name one serious movie he did....and don't mention a cameo please
