I like it a lot but not totally. You have some nice speed and cool moves but you have no control over the camera and there is no mission mode! and no free play
A dozen more games expected to arrive on store shelves through March; Mario Kart 64 powerslides onto VC next week.
With WarioWare: Smooth Moves standing as the sole retail Wii release since the middle of December, owners of the new system may foster worries of a postlaunch drought of new games. However, those same owners may find comfort today, as Nintendo has released a slate of a dozen Wii games scheduled for release by the end of March.
While the Nintendo faithful will have to endure a few dry weeks (Wii Play with Wii Remote is the only release before March), a number of high-profile franchises are set to hit the system by the end of the quarter. Ubisoft is down for bringing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Prince of Persia series to the Wii, while Sega is ready to offer gamers Sonic and the Secret Rings. Electronic Arts is also bringing some famous faces to the system in the form of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07, SSX Blur, The Godather: Blackhand Edition, and Medal of Honor: Vanguard.
However, this list may not be comprehensive. Earlier today, Ubisoft released a list of its own expected first-quarter releases as part of its financial earnings statement, and that list indicated Driver: Parallel Lines for the Wii would also make it to store shelves in the first quarter. A Nintendo representative had not returned our request for comment as of press time, but an Ubisoft spokesperson reiterated that the game will be released before the end of March.
There's also the matter of Virtual Console games. Sega has already committed to bringing five more titles to the downloadable service in the first quarter, and Nintendo said it will bring Mario Kart 64 to the Virtual Console "next week." Nintendo has said that Monday would be the launch day for downloadable games on its digital distribution service, but in the past exceptions have been made.
Nintendo's full list of expected first-quarter retail releases follows below:
February 14--Wii Play with Wii Remote--Nintendo
March 27--Disney's Meet the Robinsons--Buena Vista
March--Prince of Persia Rival Swords--Ubisoft
March--TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)--Ubisoft
March--Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII--Ubisoft
Q1--Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07--EA
Q1--The Godfather: Blackhand Edition--EA
Q1--Medal of Honor: Vanguard--EA
Q1--Sonic and the Secret Rings--Sega
as far as value goes, wii play definitly comes out on top. it comes with a wii remote, which is $40 otherwise. so you're paying $10 for the actual game

ssx blur, otherwise i couldn't care less. guess i'll be playing crackdown and twilight princess some more.
you gotta be kidding me... one game in jan and now 1 game for feb... 2 months in 2 months? give me a break! The lineup looks pretty boring too...
Yeah some of these tittles we've seen before, but I think the wii-mote should add a certain something-something to them. I can't wait for a golf game with more thought put into it than Wii Sport's little 9 wholes. Have not ever wished to actually using the Turtles katanas, swords, stick, ect. Can you imagine a game like God Of War on the Wii, I would love pulling on my controllers to remove those darn harpie wings. So cut Nintendo a break.
Am I the only one who sees this lineup as very lame? Prince of Persia is supposedly the same game as Two Thrones. TMNT....uh no! Tiger Woods is on every other system as well as Godfather. Sonic sucks now. SSX Blur can go either way. Disney's Meet the Robinsons---LMAO! I bash Nintendo a lot, and this lineup just fuels the fire...
Hmm...lets see. Sonic, Tiger Woods, Mario Kart and SSX will all be on my Wii this year. Nice lineup!
The reason OoT isnt out yet is competition. That is a game they KNOW people will buy, so while yes if you wait for more people to have Wii's that could be true. But also think of it this way. When Halo 3 or GTA IV come out, what will nintendo have to rely on? They're saving the good stuff for later, when its needed. That and if they put out Zelda now no one would ever think about getting the other games which might not have had a chance at all to sell.
I really wonder why they havent released Ocarina of Time yet... Only reason i can think of is that theyre waiting for more Wiis to sell, that way a ton more ppl will download it...
Obi Your hinting at emulation,I'd rather OWN my games then play some crap copy of them. It's my hope Nintendo/Sony and MS not only go after the people supplying these Games but also go after the people downloading them,You are a thorn in the gaming biz side that should be removed.
Mario Kart 64 could have been great for da Wii if it had online play connectivity in the Wii, but all the emulated games are fixed as they are in their original state. Lol, of course Nintendo wouldn't want to diminish the appeal of the possible online play for their future Mario Kart Wii game by doing that! The VC game price range is really, really bad, & total rip-offs. Don't ever pay for them. Hint: you can get them for free & play them "somewhere else" along with the can't-miss-em graphical filters to vastly improve the image quality (like 2D & maybe 3D anti-aliasing, etc).
mingomike, I don't think Mario Kart 64 will be online. Yeah that would be fun, but I think Nintendo is going to be saving that feature for the Wii version. Too bad I don't have a DS. That way I could get a taste of what that will be like >.>
Wonder if they can offer Mario Kart 64 as an oline player game - now that would be fun - as far as the releases go, nothing to great seems to be coming really.
The only attractive game here is The Godfather, too bad I allready completed it twice on both the PS2 and 360. Good thing I have more than just a Wii... :D
@ WR_Platinum You mean the waiting game I played with Nintendo for the GCN's entire life line? Can you name any big titles coming out over the Summer? There are movie cash ins and Madden. Possibly the new Pokemon title. Wow, isn't that amazing? Look, if you don't care about the fact that I bought a Wii just don't comment on it. I'm not looking at this list from the perspective of every gamer who owns a Wii, I'm looking at it from my perspective. What do I see? An incredible weak line up with nothing really worth buying to me. And, you might want to tell Ubisoft that releasing a million games at once doesn't work. They don't seem to agree with you, considering they had a million, horrible titles at the Wii's launch.
Ugh this is why I hate it when systems are first released... they start with one great, exclusive release title (Zelda, Resistance, COD2) and then take AT LEAST six months to a year to pop out others (Oblivion, Super Mario Galaxies, Gran Turismo... though it could be argued that the 360 didn't even have a great launch title since it wasn't exclusive >.>). Come on Sony and Nintendo! Step up the game! You've both got alot of catching up to do!
1. Sonic. 2. SSX (that control scheme just looks baller as hell). 3. MOH:V (hopefully it'll hold up better than CoD3) and for those who can get through these easy... - WiiPlay for the casual - Godfather looks intreguing - Bust-a-Move will offer solid, time-tested gameplay - PoP Wii-make could end up being a big hit if it's done well
so .. yeah.. ssx, and possibly sonic if that franchise finally starts to not suck. Why is ubisoft the only 3rd party that is very active right now? all they make is licensed crap.
Meet the Robinsons? Bionicle Heroes? C'mon no more little disney games i need some FPS action. But I'm definitely getting SSX:Blur and The Godfather :D
mario kart 64now dats the first good multiplayer game for the vc will it be online? (doubt it) t etter be 4 players ....ryte?
Ugh. All I'll get is Wii Play, probably, and I may check out Blazing Angels. I mean, come on... Bionicle Heroes? Meet the Robinsons? Where are the GOOD games?! I want another FPS, or maybe even an RTS!
NeO10102525 why you call me a nub first off i wont even take it there with you im to old for that. if my son was home from school i would let him argue with you on this site since you act his age and hes 5. second if you read what i said i said at least the wii had zelda and wii sports and some other good games and what good games were out when the 360 came out and look at what the ps3 has out i was not compareing. because ive been playing games since the 80s and i know the wii is on a better level then the ps3 and the 360 there focused on graphics and if you like that then im not hateing but me i love that great gameplay nintendo has weather it be mario zelda' metroid ' smash brothers' or there other great games thats just me . but dont hate and call me names thats liltte kid s... dont get mad cause other people love the wii and not your xbox and ps3 thats just life get used to it buddy .and by the way you wanted my childish side so here i let my son say it wii rocks the ps3 and 360 suck!!! no im only jokeing lol
Where is all the third party love? I'm seeing a lot of toes being dipped in the pool. It's time they jump in already, or somebody is going to drown.
I just love looking at my copy of Zelda: TP with no Wii to play it. These games don't interest me much though. I'm ready for the Nintendo franchises.
crills dont you dare compare the Wii to the 360.. the ps3 maybe but almost ALL games on the 360 are online AND there are over 30+ AAA titles out there already.. some are really cheap too.. I like Wii but.. its NOT EVEN CLOSE to 360 at this time. read up before you talk nub
the only one i realy wanna play there is SSX, and maybe sonic. ah, i cant wait for the rest of 2007: we'll have SSSBB, metroid, mario galaxy, mario party... then in 2008, i can see it already: mario kart wii, animal crossing wii, maybe a kirby or f-zero game or something. Then for my DS there'll be phantom hourglass. Lookin' good, ninty.
