No Crysis 3 on Wii U - Crytek
Crytek director of creative development says fans shouldn't expect to play upcoming shooter on Nintendo's new console.
Crysis 3 is not going to be released on the Wii U, according to comments made by Crytek director of creative development Rasmus Hoejengaard. Speaking to Destructoid, the developer said there is "not a fat chance" the upcoming shooter will ship for the Wii U.
Crysis 3 was officially announced last week (following a leak from Electronic Arts' online store) for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. The game is due out during spring 2013.
Crysis 3 isn't the only big-name title skipping Nintendo's latest console. Earlier this month, Capcom confirmed that it is not targeting to ship upcoming action horror game Resident Evil 6 for the Wii U.
Final Wii U hardware will be on hand at the 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo, which runs June 5-7 in Los Angeles. The system is expected to ship worldwide this holiday season, with one analyst suggesting the system will be "dead" if it doesn't sell for $250 or under at launch.
