Industry professionals now able to nominate titles for 13th annual awards show; special Audience Award voting begins February 4.
Nominations for the 13th annual Game Developers Choice Awards have been opened, with submissions able to be sent in through January 4, event organizers announced today. The awards ceremony itself will take place the evening of March 27, as part of GDC 2013 in San Francisco, California.
Nominations can be submitted through the event's website by any game professional with a registered account at Gamasutra.com. Winners for each category will be chosen by the Game Developers Choice Awards' International Choice Awards Network (ICAN), a group composed of 500 game developers. Additionally, the Game Developers Choice Awards Advisory Committee will decide which games and creators take home Special Awards.
In addition to 10 basic categories and three special awards, the 2013 Game Developers Choice Awards will, for the first time, include a new Audience Award category. This award will be decided up by the audience at large, with voting opening February 4, 2013.

I predict all the developer-judged entries will be ones that actually deserve recognition, and then, just to demonstrate the fucking retardedness of the majority of gamers, the Audience Award will be for Halo 4 or Black Ops 2.
Mass Effect 3 for game of the year. ( I haven't played Far Cry 3 yet and XCOM is pretty awesome as well)
@thequickshooter what is the add-on? The enhanced edition? On the PC?
@thequickshooter Hmm.. are you sure that is called an add-on?
game of the year : far cry 3 or dishonored. i fucking hope so
but in 2013 i don't know maybe GTA 5 hehe.....
dishonored better win an award or 9 xD but the best downlodable title is fucking hard to pick between journey or the walking dead as for handheld game RE:revelations or persona 4 golden should win
@decebal i think there is a possibility of TWD winning. i like the game as heaven nd will surely vote it after AC III. this game is gonna beat "Journey" its a big achievement in itself.
The biggest category this year will be "Downloadable Games" IMO. With Journey and The Walking Dead alone being an extremely difficult decision.
I like reading what the Game Developers Choice Awards decides on more than most review sites including Gamespot.com.
