Phantasy Star Online pricing
Sega confirms the monthly pricing and launch date for Phantasy Star Online Episodes I & II, the GameCube online RPG.
Sega of America has announced that Phantasy Star Online Episodes I & II will launch on October 29. The game's online component will be run through Sega.com and require a monthly subscription that will cost $8.95 per month. As with many online games, a credit card is required to sign up for online play.
Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II has split-screen support for up to four players, who can play together either online or offline. The offline component allows players to explore the game without signing up for the monthly service, but the online game includes additional content. The online game has a real-time translation system to minimize the language barriers between players from different regions.
An Xbox version of the game is also in the works. For more details, check out our previous coverage of the game.
