I don't see the point in buying a DS version since you can buy the iPod Touch version for only $3?

I played this game to death. I am ready for a sequel. What about bringing it the PSN? It would work great with Move controls. I would also like to see Zuma's Revenge and Bejeweled Twist on the PSN.

Still waiting for the PSN one.... Oh, and @dRuGGeRnaUt, when Guitar Hero 5 came out, it was $60. When Guitar Hero 5 mobile came out, it was $10. You're not saving $50 by buying it on your phone, you're buying a whole new game. Guitar Hero is on the DS, it's completely different. Theres always a big difference when things are ported. The 360 and PS3 get the nice HD one with all the bonuses, the Wii and PS2 get the crappy looking one with maybe something missing, the DS and PSP get some kind of spinoff title, and the phones get a little mini-game inspired by the console ones. Its different every time.

One of the games I am happy that I bought it. It such a good game that the developers deserve to get paid for their work. I wonder if there will be a PSP version, because that will be great! I hope Sony sells them the PSP SDK for cheap as to support independent developers.

PvZ is a good game, but it doesn't have to be ported to everything.

@dRuGGeRnaUt Well if you want to compare the iPhone version and DS version when they're released, and tell me they're the same, then go ahead and do that. But you can't ignore the fact that distribution the iPhone App platform is worlds apart than on the DS, both with vastly different pricing structures, licensing costs, and overhead. Costs associated with shipping, manufacturing, and retail shelving are just a few items all rolled up into that $20 price point, which by the way is about as cheap as a DS game gets. I would argue that the devs are already saying their thanks by deciding to release their game with new exclusive content onto a widely distributed platform at the cheapest competitive price point available. And you were the one who compared PvZ to a free Newgrounds game, not me.

Great game; simple, fun and addictive. First time i checked out an ipad, my mate's, i virtually stole it for 4 hours because of this game.

@StanleyL No i think it's nuts that a $2 iphone game can sell for $20 because its for consoles. The DLC argument was just an example of how people think companies are okay in never saying thanks. or even showing ANY consideration for the fact that WE made the developers successful, not the other way around. It's not entitlement like you say, i don't expect ANYTHING for free, I just find it funny that any time you say that devs should say thanks to the fans buy giving something away free, some person on here comes and says "THEY DONT DESERVE MONEY FOR THEIR WORK!??!" again that has NOTHING to do with what i said. but this argument is going waaaay of topic. and i would say there is no point in continuing

@dRuGGeRnaUt PvZ being released on the DS and 360 has absolutely nothing to do with DLC, not sure why you're even bringing that up. This is a matter of a full game getting expanded and ported over to a new platform. You specifically mentioned that a game like PvZ used to be something you could get free on Newgrounds, and that they are charging $20 for DS version is "nuts". Frankly, that kind of entitlement thinking is nuts.

Sweet. Now I can play PvZ in my flights and at airports (I travel like 35 weeks a year).

Not that I condone the use of drugs, but Plants vs. Zombies is like a "gateway drug" for gaming. And by that, I mean this: It's universally appealing, with its cutesy aesthetic and simple-to-learn gameplay, but its complexity is nearly unrivaled in the genre, and I guarantee it'll turn casual gamers into hardcore gamers just like *that*. Tl;dr: PvZ is amazing, and everybody should play it at some point in their lives. Suck it, Ebert!

I can't wait to get this game for the 360! I would highly recommend that everybody should try this game out!

I purchased this game when it came out for the PC and its the best $10 I've ever spent on steam. I most definitely will be purchasing this for my DS

Hopefully this has co-op like xbox. I gotta feeling xbox will have the more clunky version but either way I'm buying PvsZ on all platforms it's available for.

Only the XBLA version gets the multiplayer modes? No fair. :( Though I am happy that the DS will get Survival mode and the Zen Garden.

The game that made me respect the "Casual Games" category. Can't imagine how funny it will be to use the original and curious touch sensitive DS controls.

Of course developers deserve to make money, I was stating that at one point there were people out there that made games and stuff just to make games, and there was a lot of free support for games "back in the day" I was simply stating that the DLC obsession has killed the idea of "hey guy, you paid $60 of your hard earned money for our game. Heres some free maps as a thank you for your support." instead now its "lets hack some pieces of this game out and sell it to them later" At what point do people start seeing that we owe the devs for the games they make for us. AND WE PAY THEM FOR THAT. I do believe the developers OWE things to the people that made them successful, doesn't have to be much, but it would be nice. Its a two way street and i don't see why people think its okay for the devs to get everything, and give nothing back. Look at companes like valve and others. They respect their fans, and give them something back. I guess corporations have actually managed to bill themselves out to be the "little defenseless child that needs to be protected" Whereas they should be: "The corporation that was built off its fan bases hard earned money, and maybe we should say thanks for that" but it's okay if everyone here on gamespot doesn't like being treated with respect.. probably spent too much time on the System Wars boards. :)

what i find nuts is that games like this sell for $20 when games like this, used to be FREE flash games on websites like newgrounds... The days of free are over in video games people, and we decided that ourselves... DLC *****'s.

I already have this, on my *bleh* iPhone.. I guess the plus is that it was only 2-3$ dollars, not $20. :)
