halo 3 is = to warhawk, but two different styles halo 3 is more fun for me because i have more friends on xbox than ps3 (so its lonely when i play warhawk) the demo for 2k8 is was sick, deff getting that, and so was Jericho

I urge you to check some 360 news, you will see the PS3 zealots all over there. Besides, alot of people here have points of view. If someone prefers halo 3 over warhawk or vice versa, thats up to them. Personally I can like both games equally, depending on the friend im playing against or the mood that I am in. But - you can pick out a fanboy from a mile away when all they do to promote their favourite console or game title is to bring out the missfortune or blemishes of the competition. For example - you can say something like "I prefer warhawk, its more my kind of game" and thats great. But if you say "I prefer warhawk, its got no lag and its better than halo 3 -- the average gamers fps".. its just lowering the bar. Increasing credibility of things that you like by pointing out negative things of things you don't like are complete and utter acts of fanboyism. So think before you call people fanboys for having a point of view, and look at the finer details of what they say. Liking a game because "it looks better than an xbox 360 game" etc etc is just digging at the competition for no reason. What matters is your experiences. I can thoroughly enjoy Heavenly Sword on a regular SD tv. So anyone bickering about the ps3 being 720p and all that doesn't make any difference to my experience, they just say such things to - in effect - pronounce their fanboyism. Comments such as "What do you know, PSN getting better so M$ fanboys have to whine and make up trivial nonsence to try and justify spending $50 a year on a service that "... That comment loses all credibility after the word "so". Promote your favourites without making a point of the competitions "flaws" and your arguments will be worth reading!

of the 3 new NBA games, 2K8 looks to be the best.. also the most basic of demos, it just throws you into an 8 minute game of basketball, but quite honestly, it looks and sounds so much better than the other 2 demos.. i don't usually pick up just any sports games, but this one might just be an exception... using the analog stick to shoot is a little different, but could be gotten used to..

the ps3's online service is good, I think it has all you need, chat, online play, good servers, updated content, everything you need. just because you pay for it dosent mean its better. I gave up on xbox live as it was not worth it. I use the ps3 for online play I like it more. ever played warhawk, it never has lag! I honestly think that warhawks online beats halo 3's. according to people I know halo's multiplayer is good but not great. plus why do 360 owners go to ps3 news and trash it. why are people arguing over warhawk here. on that topic yes it is a fantastic game with excellent graphics. My friend who is a MASSIVE XBOT (whereas I like PS3) recently bought Halo 3 Collector's edition (He is a very rich spoilt person who also owns a ps3 even though he trash talks it all the time) and said that it deserves a 8.5 cos of the graphics and gameplay. I was like WHAT I mean its a big game for all you xbox fans and heres my friend, who says heavenly sword graphics are plain and suck, now saying Halo 3 is not good cos you can't have clans. BIG LOL. what does this have to do with warhawk? well he bought it a few days before and can't stop playing it. even though he has halo 3.

To Lord of Games: Sorry but the PSN has a LOOOOOOOONG way to go before coming anywhere near what LIVE can do or offer. A sprinkle of goodies every now and again is a drop in the bucket compared to the WEEKLY flood of content LIVE receives. To Ebisch: You genralize WAY to much. I play LIVE EVERYDAY and rarely do I hear anything other then adult gamers. It all depends on what games you play. I'm pretty sure that PSN is full of the Harvard bound educated Shaskeperian scholars that sony fanboys try to pretend it is but we all know better thaen that. All internet outlets have this problem and they also all have generalizing, ignorant users such as yourself, so it all equals out I guess. I'll say it again Sony tossing your PSN a bone still can't go one on one with the great one. While it must be an electrifying event to see some new updates for the average PSN user that's an everyday occurance for LIVE users. not to mention don't speak of lag just because it's peer to peer. The only game I ever expierenced horrible lag in was the Darkness which was a crappy online from day one on BOTH consoles. I play Halo3 and Gears online with barely a hiccup so don't pretend there isn't any blemishes on the PSN either since Gamespot's review of the SPECTACULAR NBA 08 from SCEA states otherwise. Not to mention I'll gladly pay 50 dollars a year to have what is hands down the BEST all around online serivce over the half baked PSN anyday.

its getting better and better i have to say - more downloads mean a bigger selection and more demos and the lot - its really becoming something that can equal the XBL service... sorry Microsoft fanboys - not really that much to whine about now...

What do you know, PSN getting better so M$ fanboys have to whine and make up trivial nonsence to try and justify spending $50 a year on a service that (while currently has a better feature set and ease of use) is plaged by racist homophobic pre-pubecent idiots and for what ever stupid reason is still primarily peer-to-peer. Lag is esentially non-existant on PSN due to the fact that Sony actually cares about their fans (most of the time) and sets up dedicated servers, a la Warhawk.

Decent update, sadly I'm quite underwhelmed by Jericho's gameplay :/. But kudos for getting demos at the same time as XBL now.

With tons of vehicles flying around and hectic combat, and pretty much 0 lag, I can't imagine NOT having 32 players matches. 3) Why the hell are you talking about this here?!

as a owner of both systems. i have to say, that while i personally feel that Sony has the better hardware for the price. XBOX Live is far superior to PSN. but that's to be expected. i mean Microsoft has had time to get it right. althought some stuff i don't believe you should have to pay for on there. Microsoft enjoys sticking their hands in your pockets every chance they get. i personally like the way sony's pricing is set up. you pay for exactly what you want. no rip-off points cards. i hate having to buy a $20 card for 1600 points when i only need 400 points. but the overall experience of XBox live is just better than what sony has to offer at the moment.

Here's a wrod of thought to anyone who says that paying for content sucks, right now, xbl charges you yearly, now, what if, in that year, you had to close you xbox for exams for 2 months, or most commonly, you get the red rings of death? and you can't play for 3-4 months, so technically, a 3rd of your year is lost yet you still have to pay the fees. But with PSN, you could pay when you download something, so its more like you're paying when you want to.

Warhawk has 32, but look at the graphics it has to make it possible, they're on par with the original XBOX Crimson Skies. The more players that a game allows means that many more chances for some fool with a lousy connection to mess up the game. Play Gears of War some time, any more than 8 people would be too many for the type of close up fighting it has. I would like about 4-8 more for the big maps in Halo 3, but that was Bungie's choice, not some arbitrary limitation of XBOX Live.

I agree with accumata. I own a ps3 and a 360 and the psn, although getting better, doesn't come close to live and i dont expect it to since it is free. Live is pretty stable IMO and the D/L is terrific. the psn is getting better speed wise than when it forst dropped. I got labled a troll by gamespot for making that statement in the forums--which i still resent.. i paid boocoo for that ps3 and was expexting value and it just wasnt that when it first dropped. It is coming along though..i think they will be fine a year from now. Right now Live just has way more content to even compare the two...over 100 game demos, live arcade try before you buy, tv shows, movies, game conference footage..i feel i'm getting my moneys worth. if i werent i'd definitely complain...

Just a little thought here comparing xbox live to the PSN....If xbox live is so great, why does gears of war only support 8 players online? Why does halo 3 only support 16? Resistance does 40! Warhawk does 32! I know everyone is always looking at content and other features but they seem to overlook the good points about the PSN

accumuta, the only reason the psn downloads seem slower to you is probably because you have the ps3 on wifi and the 360 on lan.....if you connect the ps3 with an ethernet cable the downloading speed gets much faster

Let me precede this statement by saying I own all three of the new consoles. The only game I even own for the PS3 is Motorstorm, but Heavenly Sword will probably be number 2 soon. But anyways...I have to say it... Even though the Playstation network is free...it is SO not as good as XBOX Live. I gladly pay my $50 a year. When the PS network gets as good, then I'll complain about my $50 a year being a waste. But for now, PS can't touch the 360 for content and speed of download. I wish it could. But really, it is pretty lame...especially for such a tech laiden machine. Sony isn't backing their machine very well.

@kinglink2, everyone charges for add-ons.....where have you been? in a cave? seriously though even MS charges for add-ons, like map packs and new modes. at least they are cheap.

charging for add-ons... At least they haven't started charging for the player pics and all but come on. They want to be "better" than Microsoft but they are doing the same thing.
