Red 5 taps internet celebs for Firefall Fest
Six-day live-streaming event starts from October 22 until 27; featuring appearances by Nathan Fillion, Wil Wheaton, and Felicia Day.
Red 5 Studio, the developer behind the upcoming free-to-play shooter Firefall, will be hosting an upcoming live-streaming event called the Firefall Fest.
The six-day show featuring live streams of the game will be held from October 22 until October 27. Notable guests include Wil Wheaton (from TV shows Star Trek: The Next Generation, Big Bang Theory) and Felicia Day (from web series The Guild) who will appear on October 22 from 3pm to 6pm PST, webseries comedy team Mega 64 who are scheduled on October 23 from 3pm to 6pm PST, and Nathan Fillion who will be on air on October 27 from 3pm to 6pm PST.
Red 5 Studio will also be giving away prizes sponsored by Razer and AMD at different times during the event. These range from mice and keyboards like the Taipan and Black Widow Tournament Edition, to gaming PC rigs with an AMD FX-8150 3.6GHz CPU and Radeon HD 7950 video card.
Additionally, gamers who buy a Founders Pack from October 22 to 27 will get immediate access to the game. The event will be streamed on the developer's Twitch page. The full schedule of the event can be seen here.
