Resident Evil Revelations revealed February 7
Capcom dates 3DS survival horror game set between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5; GameStop preorders to receive free 3DS case.
Next year, Capcom will once again prove the old adage that it's hard to keep a good zombie down. Or any zombie, for that matter. The publisher today announced that it will release Resident Evil Revelations in North America on February 7.
Following up on this year's action-focused Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, Revelations will try to return the series to its survival horror roots. The game will follow Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine in an episodic story-driven adventure set between the events of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5. The agents are once again on a mission to discover the truth behind a zombie outbreak, with this one stemming from the T-Abyss virus. Resident Evil Revelations is also one of the announced titles compatible with the 3DS analog slide pad attachment, which has not yet been confirmed for release outside Japan.
Capcom has also teamed with specialty retailer GameStop to sweeten the deal for potential preorder customers. When they go to pick up the game, those who reserve a copy with the specialty retailer will receive a Resident Evil Revelations-branded 3DS case with an image that changes in sunlight.

Definitely preordering this yes sir.
glad that they are returning the series to its survival horror roots, about time ^_^
I'm pretty sure that Revelations will have an updated version for the psp vita. Only a theory though
about damn time im about sick of Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil the Mercenaries 3D! and i could use a awsome case for my 3DS!
boobies
hmmmm, looks good. gonna have to give it a try.
Come on Capcom really??? How could she see anything with the hair in the way like that??? She deserved 2 die rite there. Anywayz i'll b pre-ordering this asap.
@Weapon6135 I agree, she is a horror movie slut and like all before her she must die.
Capcom sure know how to get my attention. 0.0
@ABEzilla116 No, I don't have a 3DS - but I would love to have one though.
@Gelugon_baat well we'll see but in the meantime do you have a 3ds?
Damn, that B got phuked up yo! Stupid hoes and their hair.
@ABEzilla116 I doubt that she is going to be any more important than a "plot accessory" though. ;)
You know what would be dumb? if under that gas mask we found wesker =(
@Gelugon_baat You're already wrong. Capcom has already given her a name and a part in the story. They wouldn't waste their time designing a character if she wasn't going to be relevant much less give her a name. @Weapon6135 She does have a name, Its Rachel. To everyone saying shes not important: She is a plot accessory so she will be pretty important. Also I wouldn't be 100% sure shes dead.
Back to survival horror, eh? In that case I'm buying this day one.
looking forward to it :D
This looks like it's the best Resident Evil out so far. I hope that we are able to play this came with the 3DS controls as it is now and not have to hook up another $20.00 to play this game.
I hope the slide pad attatchment comes out in Europe so I can use it on this game otherwise I ain't buying it as the controls on 3DS mercenaries was pretty bad.
THAT CASE CAN GLOW AT NIGHT?!
not surprised she didn't see the zombie in the elevator do i really have to explain.
What's with revelations titles these days...?
what the heck happened with the resident evil they announced way back in 2009 for the psp?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
are they really recreating the mansion in this game... AGAIN?
Im buying this game for 2 reasons. 1. After the horribly less Scariness of RE5(not saying its bad), its good to see them go back to their roots and making this a horror game, making me interested again. 2. That awesome Case. Anyone notice how how Pre-ordering games on Nintendo machines give you a special treat rather than just getting free content that will be DLC anyways later.
Some of you should know that the lady featured in the trailer will not be in the game as any significant character.
That's a awesome case.
I was planning to get the game anyway but I`ll definitely pre order at gamestop for that case!! I really love the idea of getting a case with preordering 3DS games (example: Zelda: Oot),,,it`s way better then DLC codes that I don`t care about
i want this game! its gona make me buy a 3DS
OH MY GOD. I'm pre-ordering this at GameSpot just for that awesome case.
I bet she's Sherry :P Glad the monster killed her.
something else I gotta preorder...
i'm impressed it's a nice story,hope that it won't be a dissapointment...
This is the first RE game I've been excited for since RE4 and that came out when I was still in high school if memory serves correct. Finally the game returns to a more "horror" centered game and I think we can all agree that is exactly what the series needed. Lets hope this is a good sign for RE6. This might also be the game that gets me to buy the 3DS. We shall see...
nice t!t$
god...does even resident evils human character design have to become rediculous and unrealistic? screw this series im done with it back to waiting for silent hill and skyrim
It's kind of obvious why the girl died. One, she was nameless. Two, she didn't know what was going on. But most importantly, she wore revealing clothing. Doesn't anyone remember their horror movie laws?
Really nice to see more emphasis on horror. I see all of these spin off games as watered down versions of the series, but hopefully they serve as some sort of practice for Capcom to get the formula for RE6 close to perfect.
Duuuude why did she died ?! She was so h... Yeah looks great :]
Looks like Im asking for a 3ds for my birthday lol
hope its good
@OJdaLIONKing making games for HD console types cost alot more than in handhelds. capcom is just playing safe in the business deal. there no gona throw in all the money while the cards just slip away
Is this the final cover for the game?
The best RE ever... :Pp...
guess all that hair in her eyes didnt help her see in the elevator...
Perhaps it will explain how they lost their way after RE4
Wait, preordering comes with a free case, but then you can't attach the slide pad?
Wooah, and even bigger boobs lol
Really good graphics
The trailer was good, but the girl in it really detracted from it. From the ridiculous hairstyle, to the revealing outfit; it just served as more of a distraction than anything else. I mean, I like boobs as much as the next guy, but it just doesn't belong in this kind of game, in my opinion.
