yeah finally a game that is more realistic when it comes to skateboarding..... like in the tony hawkes series they tell you to, "grind the rail to unscrew the bolts" I mean W ..T.. F... man!!! Im pretty stoked about the team stuff though..=)
Skate 3 announced for May 2010
EA's skateboarding series places heavy emphasis on team play; hits PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 next year.
Once a challenger to Tony Hawk's skateboarding throne, EA's Skate has since managed to itself establish at the top of the genre. The first game introduced a revolutionary analog control system, and the sequel brought new features, tricks, and game modes to the party. Today, Skate's status as a series was cemented with a third game developed by Black Box, which is set to launch on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in May 2010.
Skate 3 will boast a team-based focus, according to senior producer Jason DeLong, with gamers being offered "the tools they need to build their ultimate team or to create a team comprised entirely of their online friends," he said. A new co-op mode will allow players to work together and advance several careers at once via an expanded Hall of Meat mode, where you aim to hurt your skater as much as possible, and a new skate school that will teach players of all skill levels.
The game will also take place in a brand new location--Port Carverton--which is showcased in the game’s first trailer below. The company also announced that preorders of the game will come with an unlock code for the Black Box Distribution Skate Park--the home of the Zero, Mystery, and Fallen skate teams. Skate 3 will launch on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in May 2010, so keep an eye on GameSpot for more information as we get it.
