$40 "upgraded" version of City Interactive's headshot-happy shooter hits Sony's home console this summer; range of system-exclusive content bundled including weapons, maps, and modes.
City Interactive's Sniper: Ghost Warrior was released last June on the Xbox 360 to so-so reviews. However, tepid review scores did not prevent the game from going platinum--which it did in February. Now, the game has a release date for the PlayStation 3.
The publisher today sent word that Sniper: Ghost Warrior will arrive on June 28 for the PS3. Though the publisher did not mention a price in its announcement note, big box retailers GameStop, Amazon, and Wal-Mart have the game available for preorder at $40.
The game will come bundled with a host of system-exclusive content, including weapons, maps, and game modes. Additionally, City Interactive says the PS3 version of the game features "fully upgraded gameplay and graphics."
In January, City Interactive announced its intention to craft a sequel to Sniper: Ghost Warrior as part of its Unreal/CryEngine deal. The publisher noted that the sequel will land on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC simultaneously.

Despite hard reiews, I thought this was a pretty decent game. I think folk didnt like it because the AI REALLY kicks your ass. One mistake and youre dead. However I enjoyed this game a tonne better the second time through when I finally "got it". I may even fork out for th PS3 version if the price is right. More fool me? What does it matter if I enjoy it?
all i have to say if this game isnt fully polished, run ps3 users run for your life forget the babies just get outta here run to the hills
Multiplayer sounds like fun, but I'm sure everyone is going to ruin it by always choosing engineer or medic class and make it a total repair & heal fest.
they have a whole lot of things to upgrade to make this game even decent than the last one.
