Sega sets second wave of HD Dreamcast reissues for downloadable services in Europe, North America early next year.
The second wave of Sega's HD Dreamcast revival has been revealed. Following up on the recent releases of Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure on Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network, the publisher today announced that it would bring Space Channel 5 Part 2 and Sega Bass Fishing to the services early next year in both North America and Europe.
Originally released in Japan in 2002, the Dreamcast version of Space Channel 5 Part 2 was never released outside of Japan. The rhythm action game followed the ongoing exploits of dancing galactic news reporter Ulala. It also featured a cameo from Michael Jackson, who had previously worked with Sega on the Moonwalker arcade and Genesis games. The late King of Pop appears in Space Channel 5 Part 2 as Space Michael and shows off a few dance moves of his own.
Sega Bass Fishing dates back a bit earlier, as the game was released in North America in September of 1999, shortly after the Dreamcast's launch. A port of a 1997 arcade game, Sega Bass Fishing has players choosing the right combination of fishing locations and lures to land the biggest catch possible, paying close attention to line tension and rod height as they haul their prospective trophy in.

meh... let's see if they figure a way to bring back seaman, with the headsets nowadays and all... it makes sense. and how about shenmue 1 & 2, and sega collection 1, with streets of rage 1 2 3 included! and comic zone!
Nice start but I hope these games come back with online play Power Stone 2, Outtrigger, Daytona USA & Project Justice
You know what this means, Shenmue II is coming. No stupid Xbox version that doesn't contain the data sharing with the original.
Two good games, I still have the original Space Channel 5 for my Dreamcast. The other day I was playing Guardian Heroes on my Saturn thinking just how much fun this title could be playing with friends on-line, so many good games, so many possibilities!
Sega Bass Fishing with Kinect or Move support would have been friggin' awesome!!!! @ XAF1 The game was better with the fishing rod, but still pretty fun with the standard DC controller. I still pop it in every now and then to pass time.
@warner11 I'd love to play Jet Grind Radio! Jet Set Radio Future is one of my all-time favorites so the first game is high on my list! Skies of Arcadia though.. eh, it hasn't aged all that well.
Can't understand them doing Sega Bass Fishing. I owned it for the Dreamcast and if I'm right you'll need the fishing rod controller to really enjoy it. I owned the controller and the game was fun but without it the game will be sort of lame.
Hmm, why not both Space Channel 5s and possibly Sega Rally? well can't complain onward with more Dreamcast titles ! and I want to see Shenmue 2 in the DC lineup as well.
Hopefully we see a full library of dreamcast open up soon much like the wii channel has with sega\atari\n64.
space channel 5 was fun when it came out but i dont think it would be any good now. They need to bring back JSR and zombie revenge.
ah, ive for some reason have been wanting to play Sega Bass Fishing recently... also, WTF!?! no Jet Set Radio or Psychic Force 2012? D:
what other games have they released so far? i know the Sonic Adventure game... But is that it so far?
Sega Bass Fishing was awesone with the Dreamcast Fishing Controller. There is no fun in playing it on a regular controller :/
i likes me that space channel 5, but i want jet grind radio, and seaman. seaman some big time fun right there, i pay good moneys play with that.
You know Dreman you can always play Midways Arcade Treasures 3 for PS2 and also on a backwards compatible PS3 for your Rush 2049 love...
this is insane , purely insane , it is like i am living in a dream , i am gonna play my beloved dreamcast games in HD , this shall bring lots of nostalgia ,,,,and tears to my eyes, (damn you peter moore)
Space Channel 5 Part 2 actually did get released in the US as part of Space Channel 5 Special Edition for the PS2. I happen to have a copy of it myself.
Would be nice if they released Panzer Dragoon..not a dreamcast game I know, but that game was a ton of fun.
