Tekken Tag Tournament 2 set for holiday 2012
Namco Bandai's fighting franchise confirmed to hit consoles late next year, platforms not yet specified.
PlayStation 3 gamers got their first taste of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 last month when Namco Bandai released a four-character demo of the game as part of Tekken Hybrid. Unfortunately, they will have to be patient for a second helping of the two-on-two fighter.
At the Spike Video Game Awards tonight, Namco Bandai revealed a holiday 2012 console release window for Tekken Tag Tournament 2. A trailer for the game showed Lili and Asuka pairing off against Kazuya and Bryan in silhouette. No platforms were mentioned.
The sequel will arrive on consoles a dozen years after the original Tekken Tag Tournament helped launch the PlayStation 2. Like the original Tekken Tag Tournament, the sequel brings characters from across the series together to fight in two-on-two matches, with the ability to tag in and out mid-match and even mid-combo.

i'm saying it from now when they release the console version kunimitsu will be added to the roster
I would like it if Shin Kamiya would get into the game ! I like Shin ;-) Cute Boy :-)
I want Jun back!!!!
i dont mind waiting as long as it'll be the "complete package once its released.. not unlike that other developer releasing the same game wih only a few update a few months after releasing a game
@kh2gamer, Well we'll just have to make sure we all get our copies before the world blows up, right?? :P I kid (partly), but seriously I'm just glad to know Jun Kazama gonna be back in it! Man, that was my fight game homegirl for Tekken (well her and later Xiaoyu). Damn, I've missed her!
Will this be the Triumphant return of Michelle Chang?!?! I sure as heck hope so. I hate playing Julia
@ferrarimanf355: Because Soul Calibur V is coming out before February 1st next year (January 31st, to be exact), while we'll have to wait for about another year from now for this title (which could come out for either November or very likely, next December). That's of time between SC V & TTT2.
what next year your kidding me spring or summer maybe but next nov. or dec is too long we already been waiting 4 month to hear an american arcade release...ugh.
@ferrarimanf355 maybe. they want this to be Arcade perfect on the consoles. so they taking their time. not to rush this port. and this could be hitting the Wii-U aswel.
its really annoying how long we have to wait for this especially since it has already been released in arcades in Japan. It is also already starting to be featured in tournaments and on streams. I just dont see why we have to wait a whole year and no i dont think localization for a fighting games demands a whole year.
Aargh, why is Namco shoving Soulcalibur V down our throats when people want this instead?
Me want, me want nao!
tekken tag tournament 2: judgement day
i gotta get this game next year
To bad it won't play like the original =(
But we're all going to die shortly after...
