What a line-up, can't wait for LBP though! They're filling the whole blu-ray with stuff meaning there will be unlimited possibilities! :)
Game giant uses Metal Gear Solid 4 to demo new rumble-enabled controller alongside Guitar Hero III, Devil May Cry 4, FIFA 08, and Call of Duty 4.
One of the biggest booths at this year's Tokyo Game Show is Sony's. It's also one of the most crowded. Inside is a collection of first- and third-party titles for the PlayStation 3 and PSP--the PlayStation 2 is MIA.
The biggest titles on display are right up front. As soon as the doors opened there was a line for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, which is playable in a cool setup with a racing seat, steering wheel, and pedals. Right next door is Metal Gear Solid 4.
Those aren't the only big games being shown. LittleBigPlanet is drawing huge crowds and lots of enthusiastic response from attendees. Sony's trying to spread the word about its innovative Eye of Judgment, which occupies a large portion of the booth. Because it's not really a "pick up and play" game, each player gets a personalized tutorial before sitting down to play. The other large areas belong to Lair, Heavenly Sword, and the new Ratchet and Clank.
And then things get crazy. Third-party titles like Guitar Hero III, Devil May Cry 4, FIFA 08, and Call of Duty 4, and games from Koei, Sega, and a host more dominate the back wall. This is also where PlayStation Store titles like Go! Sports Ski, echochrome, and Toy Home are playable. The PSP has a large presence on the far left of the booth. Minna No Golf 2 (Hot Shots), the quirky wardrobe organizer MyStylist, Talkman 2, Patapon, and the 1 Seg Tuner that lets you watch TV on your PSP each have their own kiosks.
THis Cool but... what about Killzone? God of War 3? Need MORE SUBSTANCE if Sony wants to rule during the next gen war.
I still haven't brought into this current generations of consoles, but LBP is certainly one of the great reasons to pick up a PS3!

I really hope the game lives up to they "hype" (It doesn't seem to being hyped up, just letting it shine)" You know? I feel the same way. I can't point a finger on what it is but I am really hooked on this game. The same thing happened to me with Okami and Shadow of the Colossus, which I am guessing it has to do with the originality. All three of these titles had something unique in them, be it the celestial brush, the colossal battles or the building of your levels, but it is undeniable that it is completely original. And its charming to boot too! As far as the other titles. MGS4 and DMC4 shine as well, and GT5P looks like is shaping up quite nicely. lamprey263 said: "Why are they still showcasing the Dual Shock 3? This is all old news. They might as well be showcasing sliced bread. Pelican Accessories had a tilt function rumble control for the PlayStation back in the late 90s. ...oh wait, it's just like the Pelican controller but it uses Blue Tooth, well excuse me." Well maybe they are showcasing the dualshock 3 because it is new. If you have ever played a PS3, you would know that the sixaxis has no rumble feature, and true that it has been around the 90's (no thanks to Pelican) but it is a feature that I (and most) PS3 users miss. So, it is a new product, and different from dualshock 2 because it has tilt functionality too.

I think they have some very promising titles, and they do offer a innovative experience beyond the controller. Although, I think LPB may give it a real run for its money, and show why better hardware means better games and not just graphics. It appears to me that LPB might be possible on Wii, it would be a shadow of itself and really needs the hardware for the advanced things its doing. All I can say, is I wish I was there! Would love to get m hands on MGS4, Gran Turismo 5, Eye of Judgment(which I would like to hear more about!) Ratchet and Clank.. You can only read so much before you have to pick up and play it.
lamprey263, please explain to me what the HELL that has to do with this article? Also, please explain to me the problem with having the dual shock available to play with.. on games that will be using it? It's just there. Your a idiot.

it's because their 360 not even worth to let gamers give comments. they gave comments because somekind of feelins that sony comes out thing groundbreakingly, and 360..phew..just a lame usual game box -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You mean kinda like how the PS3 fans come in and say bad things about the Wii and 360 news, eh? Don't make it come off as if the Sony ones are mature players, at all. Unless of course 'mature' means 'a lust for games that have nothing lower than an 'M' rating'. Either way. I would've liked to be there to see that Guitar Hero 3 and DMC4 demo..though new titles would always be nice. Seems like most of Sony's franchises are simply familiar games that end in a number greater than 3 now.
Twinturbo120 im gonna say it again...why are 360 fanboys coming in here and makin bad comments? THIS IS PS3 NEWS NOT 360 NEWS ***************************************** it's because their 360 not even worth to let gamers give comments. they gave comments because somekind of feelins that sony comes out thing groundbreakingly, and 360..phew..just a lame usual game box
Well some really good games for the psp playable, oh wait, no not really. No god of war or something, no talkman 2 ... I'm thrilled!
Sony has officaly moved the spot light from thier work horse the PS2 to the PS3. It's time to shine is now
Wait, what? "alongside uitar Hero III"? Where's the "G"? Other then that, LBP is shaping up quite well.
LOL @ 360 Fanboys SHOOK @ Sony's showing @ TGS. HAHAHAH WE COMMIN ....WEEE COMMIN FOR YOUUUUUUUUUUUU
@Twinturbo120 These articles are here for everyone to read, to comment on and to debate about! I love it when peeps come and bash other consoles! It incites other posters to counter-comment very intelligently and layout facts that i never knew about. Dnt tell you dnt like giving thimbs down to blatant bashers!!! I'm a wii60 fan but dsnt mean i'm gonna automatically bash the PS3! I even wnat one (read my last comment)! Everybody's free to comment, PERIOD
LittleBigPlanet ks queerly exciting!!! The concept is just so bizarre but cool at the same time! When i get a PS3 that game and Locco will be one of the few i'll be downloading!!! Btw, no wonder why the 360 booth couldn't compete... look at all the games Sony had...
I found sony's presentations to be boring, speakers never really had all that much energy or really anything exciting to say except for the trailers of the game. Home.. meh...it'll be there...Rumble...shoulda been there...PSP to PS3 connectivity...that's fine but not for me...What I've always cared about most was the games... But then again that's my opinion...
I don't know why people can't just keep comments about one system or another failing. They should realize that each has their own games coming to them that the other doesn't. Seriously, most of the time it sounds either like a person who is in denial about actually wanting the system they're insulting, or sounding like a mindless drone spewing insults for no reason other than personal dislike. I personally enjoy all the systems(including a kick ass PC)... I love my 360 because seriously, its been way more fun than my PS3, but I am excited that some good games are starting to come out for the PS3... Warhawk is OK...but I prefer games to have at least some story to go through when you just don't feel like playing online...Lair was very weak... Assassin's creed however looks great, but I'll wait to see if either the PS3 or 360 version is better...most games that have been out for both systems have been better on my 360. If I had the option I'd choose the PC though, mainly cuz my computer rocks, enough so that Crysis looks gorgeous on my comp. Anyways, back to the point. All the systems have kick-ass lineups, and instead of bashing one system or another, go and play.
to jacob-goodlich: i am more of a cow, and even i know that with halo's multiplayer, xbox live ,and forge, halo 3 wont get old for years. GO little big planet
Why don't they show Unreal Tournament 3 or Haze in Japan they have porn (or pretty close to it) for teens. Yet can't show any of the mature titles that are coming out this year. From what I'm hearing the only one so far seems to be Metal Gear Solid. Yet I'm glad to see people interested in the best console of this generation.
What kills me is how people keep making stupid statements like in 2008 people will be bored with Halo 3. Moron's don't get it but heck people are still playing Halo 2 and its been out how long???? The game is fun & will be fun for at least 2 years or so. It has a cult like following and just does not die because you want it to or because a MGS4 is coming out.
cant wait till 08! and also 360 fanboys wil be sad again cause they will be bored of halo 3 by then. 2008= the year of the playstation 3!
im gonna say it again...why are 360 fanboys coming in here and makin bad comments? THIS IS PS3 NEWS NOT 360 NEWS
Is it just me or is the article messed? I notice the G for Guitar Hero is missing. And it seems the portion mentioning MGS4's booth is incomplete.
