The Darkness sequel uncloaked - Report

Great news. I really liked the first game :)

pl3ase make a second game i love it so much...just needs work on multiplayer haha!

wow this looks pretty cool... first one was one of the first games i got for my 360 an it was awesome... not the best but awesome... stoked for darkness 2 :)

I got this free in a promotion at Gamestop with BioShock. After finishing BioShock, I put this disc in and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. i would say I liked it at least equally to BioShock. I will also say.. that the 1st level in World War I was one of the creepiest, spine-tingling levels I've ever played in a video game. I also loved the simple things it put in like sitting to watch a movie with your girlfriend. It really lifted the immersion factor much higher than most games. i would buy the sequel. Kudos to Starbreeze on a great experience.

darkness is one of the games that made PS3 what it is sequel would be a must buy

I hope they make an even better game than the first one. The darkness is awesome, but the only annoying thing about it are the guns, it seems like they are there just to make the word "FPS" true. If they make a new one I'll even buy it as soon as possible.

The first game was amazing. When I think of powerful moments in video games, I go back to the scene where Jenny (the only good person in the game) gets killed and you commit suicide. It was really awesome stuff. Also, the voice of the Darkness was exceedingly creepy and very fitting. I hope that the sequel manages to capture the dark atmosphere of the first game.

The first game was so excellent. When I think of powerful moments in a video game, I think of the scene where Jenny gets shot and you commit suicide, only to end up in the underworld. It blew my mind! And the WWI theme of the underworld created a unique feel. All in all, a game with a very dark and brooding atmosphere that I loved. I hope the sequel manages to capture the feel of the first game. Oh, and the voice of the demons is the creepiest/best voice ever

The 1st one was an amazing game, just a little short. Can't wait for a sequel. :D Hasnt this movie supposedly been rumored for a while, along with Witchblade and Magdalena, being talked about as well

AHHHHHHHHHHHH THEY"RE MAKING A FILM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAWWWWEEEEEEEESSSSOOOOOMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The comics are bad ass. If you haven't read them, go buy The Darkness Compendium Vol.1 from amazon.com for $37. That is one helluva deal for a book that's 1280 pages long.

The Darkness was wicked, I'd be way more stoked for a sequel to this than Bioshock

To those who never picked up the first: Do it. The last I checked it was about 20$ or less which is a must buy. I can not wait for the sequel though I hope they make it truly more open world with less loads and more people in the world. Maybe this new developer will do a great job, who knows. The first was beautiful but could use some changes.

It seems cool, but to my view, they didn't leave it open for a sequel, I mean, yeah, Darkness is still around, Johnny the Hitman to the rescue, dead lady, revenge. It reminds me of that Prey game on the 360

Loved the first game. Just concerned that the second isn't being done by Starbreeze. Here's to hoping it's as great and maybe a little longer story-wise.

I loved the game on my 360 (the PSX3 crashed all the time). The storyline, the controlls. Most Excellent game! Hope it is in the same style

The Darkness doesn't deserve a sequel, the origional game was bad enough.

Nice! :) although I never finished the first one, sounds interesting... I just hope that this one has a more straight forward feeling to it if you know what I mean... there was a weird feeling about the first one at the same time making it feel all over the place, but it was still a great game!

I hope they put Jackie's Darkness armor in the game and make him look more like he did in the comics....He was just fugly in the last game. And NO MULTIPLAYER please. Or if they decide to put it in polish it clean. The Darkness had the laggiest experience ever online.

@fuzzy slipperz as i will agree with u that the xbox is not a powerhouse but as of now the ps3 has not been fully tapped into so they are honestly equal but if a company makes a game on a xbox dev kit then ports it over to the ps3 and puts more polish time on the xbox then of course the xbox will look better it which ever one was the main dev console unless u have a really good team and they polish both the same. here is to hoping uncharted and GoW and ffxiii and gt5 show us that the ps3 is a better system graphically

@ Buffdaddy And a few said the same for the other but when you have both systems and you borrow a copy for the other console and take your brother's HDTV and put it right next to the same tv in my room and compare the games then you can find out which one looks better.

Also, I hope they bring Mike Patton back as the voice of The Darkness, He was vicious in the first game, and His voice work for the Special Infected for Left 4 Dead was awesome

I'm skeptical because it's not Starbreeze, but I'm excited anyway. The Darkness more than deserves a sequel, and I'm glad it's finally getting one.

The Darkness was one of my favourite current generation games,,,,,,,,,I really enjoyed the diaglogue,,the dual gun gameplay,the story and the twist in the end of the game...........I just wish that the second one will not be screwed.......

A game and a movie, this is awesome I totally fell inlove with the first game and can only hope the 2nd matches the quality. The loss of starbreeze though does worry me as they did make the first one, no game ever has kept the same style and quality when switching developers.

Looks promising. And melty3219, you got it wrong. Every multiplatform game looks better if not the same as the Xbox. Remember the Xbox isn't a powerhouse. Thats not a fanboy statement, its pretty much the truth.
