Two Worlds II is getting a double-dip. TopWare Interactive today announced an October 18 release date for the Velvet Game of the Year edition of Reality Pump's well-received open-world role-playing game.
The bundle will include the original version of the game as well as its upcoming Pirates of the Flying Fortress expansion and will come in premium velvet-wrapped packaging. The PC and Mac versions of the game will sport black velvet, with the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions wrapped in red. The added enticements won't be strictly external, as the compilation will also feature a double-sided world map and pirate head pin that's also included in the game itself. Finally, a bonus disc will feature the game's soundtrack and two extra multiplayer maps, along with assorted artwork and videos.
Though TopWare bills the bundle as a Game of the Year edition, a company representative could not point to a specific publication bestowing a Game of the Year award on Two Worlds II. The game launched in November 2010 in Europe and Asia, but it didn't arrive in North America until January of this year.

@jollybest1 GOTY Edition means the game will come out a second time with a few goodies to make some more money so stop puking nonsense... Every GOTY Edition comes with the original game and all the DLCs or Expansions...and in this case a map and a few more things...bought the original on PC and enjoyed it...never bought the expansion but it's only 10 Euros so I have to think...either pick this up or the Expansion...
@clookoo213 It received a few GOTY awards for soundtrack or art work or something like that from a few different sites and award shows... I think one of them was from GS or IGN...anyway usually it doesn't have to get a GOTY award to get a GOTY Edition...plus it's a nice bundle...worth buying...
Bought this game in good faith only to freeze doing the main-quest not even past act one. Since I didn't want to wait 3 weeks for a patch so that I could actually play it, I turned it in at gamestop and got AC: Revelations. Thank God!
this is disturbing, it seems that gamers are loosing their minds ....GOTY ???why do we carre about a game title that is a charade (no money no GOTY).....Gamers should play games for enjoyment and relaxation not because GOTY or a stupid title but these days everybody cares how many awards and goty a game has , little companies have no chance to receive the GOTY title for their creations (GOTY represents the best game that year including every pc game console game or whatever) ..........enjoy the game if you like it , if you don't don't enjoy it sell it I don't know, don't buy it.....my opinion is that the game was interesting and i enjoyed it and i do not carre about if it's GOTY or not or it will or it won't......play a game because of what it represents to you not the title that sites gave it.....they deserve the sales in Europe but this GOTY charade is a stupid thing....Wake up people and stop being brainwashed by pompous titles

I really enjoyed the game and I still play the MP every now an then with some friends. It's a blast! I learned when I was on the forums that the dev team is very small, and when you consider that 200 to 300 people worked on a game like "Oblivion", well, I just have to give them credit. Well done.
Wow I literally just bought the game yesterday and they announced this lol. Meh, gl to them.
Considering the game has not been out for a full year, 2011 won't even be over when this new edition comes out, and no one has referred to this game as anything even close to "GOTY", this makes zero sense.
If they offered enough advertising money, they could find a publication willing to award it Game of the Year status.
will they actually sell this edition of the game in the UK? i go so fed up with the publisher messing around with the original lauch that was a string of delays, then when it was finally released they decided about a week before that it was only going to be available through one specific online retailer and nowhere else, no high street shops no other websites or anything, as i result i lost my pre-order from the place i had originally ordered from and at that point i was so annoyed i just gave up and went and bought Dragon Age 2 instead so might buy this if they just do a normal release like every other game.......

All I can say is that if this brings more players to the game then great as more money for this company means maybe more people to work on developing a better game ... Two Worlds 3. I wonder how the combat is in this game as I did not like what I saw from Two Worlds Epic Edition. I really want to play it but I chose to get other games in the Steam sales over this game. I chose Risen instead.
I strongly believe this was a very good game. The one major downside for me was the short SinglePlayer. I believe they should of kept it more focused on Single Player mode rather than Multi Player mode. This game was so good I was rather said it ended quite abruptly. I may or may not get the GOTY edition. Not sure.
Why people arguing bad about this game without playing it. May the game look little pale but even though it is a good game and a very appreciable work from Reality Pump. Gamer should respect them for their desperate hard work, they did behind this game. And people, this game is so enormous in size and map even if you don't buy the Dlc, even 2 times larger then DA 2. so please, if you don't appreciate them for their work, then at least don't say bad about their work.
GOTY edition? Really? Who the hell voted this for GOTY. I don't remember seeing this game on the list. Whatever lol. I'm going to save my self the $$$'s and just get the DLC. Don't need two CE's for a mediocre game. Game was fun though, but nothing like what they boasted about in the 3 years of newsletters.
Great game, I'll certainly consider getting the new edition if I'm in the mood at the time. Might keep my cash for Uncharted 3 though, sure to be a safer buy.
This announced CE has some nice content, but I already have the first CE. I'll probably only pick this one up too if I see it for very cheap, and just pass along the extra copy of the game to my brother or something.

It was Reality Pump's company newsletter GOTY. Makes sense to put GOTY on the cover then! It actually is a great game tho, and underrated...I shutter to think of the company it keeps with other games that got a 7 at GS. Severely underrated.
