I think this game should have gotten a 10 because I see no flaws in it and it scares the crap out of me from time to time! Man I love this game! I believe it's because on the PS3, it comes included with Dead Space Ignition, the old Wii on-rails game. As for the actual quality of the Dead Space 2 game, I haven't read anything that suggests the PS3 version is superior. This game is awesome, any Dead Space 1 fan(or survival horror fan) needs to go pick it up ASAP.

Dead Space 2 is so sick! I loved the first game and this one seems even better so far. I'm about 6 hours in and just had to turn it off and take a break for a bit. Great game to play at 1am with all the lights off. Talk about putting you on the edge of your seat and getting your heart racing!

I have no doubt in my mind that Dead Space 2 will be Feb. top game in the U.S. as well. I'm guessing somewhere around 600,000 - 750,000 by the end February.

Great bonus with the PS3 version for Dead Space 2. Chapter 10 was creepy. Oh and THAT necromorph..you know the one, similiar to Res 3. :) Kept me captivated throughout. Glad to actually see it doing well.

someone tell me why 99.99% of the time my video's are blurry? why is this?

PS3 sold more copies, guessing due to dead space extraction that came with it ^^

@sleepnsurf Not always, but there was an instance, I think it was a couple of years ago, when Ben 10 was in our UK top 10. I felt the shame.

Really not that surprised, i am pleased that this game has been met with such an embrace as the first one was basically unheard of in Scotland. @robtheguru Will there be a third game in the series ??

@mordecaijr: I was fully expecting the game to be a solid 9/10, but it has actually surprised me with how good it has been. I managed to avoid most gameplay videos what with showing new enemy types and weapons, etc. So many things in the game have been a nice surprise. :D

...DS 1 SP is kind of classic and might feel better to many horror action fans... DS2 MP's intense and fun and all but never met great MP like COD 4,5... My question is when will the game that excell the COD 4?.... was my jokes and don't take it seriously...

@heidious_heid There are loads of different games charts, just like there are loads of different music charts. GAME use a qualitative chart which takes into account sales but is manually adjusted to better market new releases. The chart above is quantitative, i.e. just based on sales, as stated in GFK Chart Track's methodology.

Good! I'm glad it has reached number 1, it thoroughly deserves it. I loved the first game, and the sequel has been an absolute pleasure to play - I'm only about two-thirds in, but it's slowly becoming a 9.5/10 from me.

The Top 10 doesn't actually mean anything. When I worked at GAME the charts used to get updated on the Thursday - the day before new releases came out. And generally whatever was the most hyped up game of that week was what went to no.1...even though the game had yet to go on sale... Dead Space 2 will be knocked off the top spot within a fortnight by the next flavour of the week...

Some mighty fine games up there... well, apart from the Wii stuff. I'm sorry, I know that sounds very anti-Ninty but seriosuly, Art Academy and Just Dance. Hmmm.
