UK game chart: February 4-10

Wow some British Gamers have no taste and just buy the rubbish that is advertised the most, Okami should be doing alot better really.

Okami at 17!!! That is outrageous! Little Britain is an offensive game that is a complete waste of time, money and effort. Okami is a glorious game that has been crafted with care and dedication and it shows the moment you put the disc into the PS2. Little Britain is a poor excuse of a game, a terrible cash-in and awful.

I am from the UK and just hate the fact that great games such as Okami (only getting 17) and that get basically shunned because of crap like Little Britain. The show is decent at best but this does not deserve to be a video game and that it is in No 2 just goes to show that some people here are gullible and believe that if the show is great, the game should be too. Also, a majority of the game's copies sold were probably for kids anyway and of course, fans of the series. Yes, Cars has been out since June and that it is still up there because the fact it is on like every bloody system out at the moment (bar the PS3) and wouldn't be surprised if a PS3 version came out for it. Just going to say you can keep your FIFA, NFS, Pro Evo and the rest of the garbage in the Top Ten (except for New Super Mario Bros and SMDC), as I rather play a underappreciated classic than a popular sports game or played-out franchises.

The reason Lost planet fell was probably down to the fact that the majority of 360 owners over here would of bought it by now and there isnt enough new 360 owners to keep it up there and i expect it to be out of the charts in the next couple of weeks. The reason games like cars and that stay in the charts is because its multi format but also they dont get a huge surge of sales like a gears or lost planet so you have parents picking it up for the kids every week where as pretty much every 360 owner picked up gears and lost planet in the first week or so of being released and since then pretty much just have to rely on new 360 owners for game sales.

Gears isn't in the charts because I doubt they will sell any more copies in the UK. There aren't a huge number of 360 owners in the UK so everyone who has a 360 likely already has Gears.

In all honesty I think the Uk charts are improving (aside from Little Britain) but I think it shows that we have two types of gamers Vetrans: who know what their own about (some even in this forum) and very, very casual gamers who'll just pick up something because it refers to them in some way regardless of how good it is. Still, Where the hell is Gears of War?

Square have already done stuff with MS with the poor FInal Fantasy XI, can't say I'm overly fussed with Konami as I haven't really played anything they've done since Silent Hill 2 (not as good as the original) and MGS is just a 30 hour movie interspersed with 10 minutes of game play every 2 hours. With costs for game production being what they are its multiformat now for most titles so its not like none PS3 owners are missing out, I've yet to buy a system straight off, theres always been plenty of stuff on the one I already own to keep me occupied until the next one gets anything worth bothering with.

i wouldnt buy it if they halfed it until they come out with good exclusives. I am expecting konami and square to start bailing on sony soon. konami already has a relationship with M$ as is apparent on arcade games and sony has been testing square since the hdd fiasco. without those two companies as exclusive what are they left with really besides their ultimate processing (lmao) chip?

Not sure on the Wii, the novelty may wear off, but as I can't get one at the minute as everywhere's out of stock I get a few more months to sit back and see what happens. PS3 wise they'll have to halve the price before I would even consider picking up a system thats sitting on the shelves in the US and Japan so soon after its release, hardly a good sign is it.

well...right now the ps3 does suck so i dont blame them for sticking up for an incredibly expensive system they bought with such a bleak future. they are understandably jealous about all the cool news coming out for the wii60. i used to be this guy with the turbographix16. heh, well before the interweb and people could argue all day about nothing :P

Been gaming far too long, so long I remember the Commodore 64 vs ZX Spectrum arguments at school, then the Atari ST vs Amiga 500 arguments. Maybe I'm just an idealist, I know theres more than 1 console out there, and that each has its faults, that some games will kick ass and be exclusicve to one system and that not everyone likes the same sort of thing. Sometimes it just pains me to see so many imbeciles that can't get past, "Me like Sony/Nintendo/Xbox (delete as applicable) so everything else pants"

Sonovius, they'd be hard pressed to put them all in, Cars is on 9 different systems, they do try and show all the versions on the right but they could state in the main text that its an all formats chart.
