Uncharted film loses another director

We don't need it. The uncharted series is film like enough.

nobody wants to find treasure in a movie.

I like the nathan drake character more than indiana jones and they had to pick no talent marky mark to play the character? didnt he fruk up the max payne character already? He's nobody but an older shia lebouf. Hollywood needs to start looking for real talent.

Sometimes I think game companies would be better served by having someone write a tight script based on their characters and making a CGI movie using the same stellar voice talent that they have in their videogames.  Then you don't have to worry about which actors sound like or looks like your favorite game characters.  And you can do all sort of things that would be way too expensive to do in a live-action flick.

Many of these companies are now making trailers that are even more impressive than their big movie counterparts.  I'd be willing to take a chance and go see what they could do if they had a full 90 minutes to tell a story.

As an Uncharted fan I personally think they shouldn't do a movie. If they do make the movie it needs the cast from the game, especially Nolan North. The game creators let Nolan put alot of his own personality into the Nathan Drake character. So in my mind there is no one who can be Nathan other than Nolan North.

lol this seems rather silly, movie games are dropping like flys, how about you make uncharted 8 and just film some pro gamer playing through it and call it a movie, sounds easier then making a game movie.

Just watch Inadiana Jones.

Fillion is Drake...period. If a director pics anyone outside of him, the movie is doomed to fail. They can actually make this adventure amazing if they bring back the old Indy feel. Please don't overload the movie with a lot of super natural CG nonsense

Victor 'Sully' Sullivan should be played by none other than Bruce Campbell, he was made for that part.  Jason Statham would be a shoe in for Nathan Drake.  Elena Fisher should be played by Elisha Cuthbert of '24' fame.  If they cast these peeps, it'd be a hit.

I'm looking forward to this, as Sony has proven capable of writing with uncharted 1 2 and 3 games. Maybe have a mixture of some of the game elempents in the movie?

Drake had better kill at least 100 people in this movie, it wouldn't be worth it if he didn't.

Ugh, video game movies never pan out well.  This is gonna be an extra bad Indiana Jones B movie.

Sigh, when will these people learn? There has never been a good video game film adaption. Never. And it doesn't matter how much money or talent you chuck into the production, it'll still be mediocre at best. Case in point - Prince of Persia, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil...need I go on?

Gerard Butler could be perfect for Nathan Drake character.

Why don't they just produce this in 3D...they can better manage costs and actors, while keeping the look and feel consistent with the franchise.

Eddie Cibrian would be great to play Drake, i mean hes not old, he could well easily do the sequences, Fillion is great, but abit too old for the first movie i think. Jon Turteltaub direct or Spielberg, who obiously knows Indiana Jones and how to make adventure exciting.

Good god. Just end the production already and cut your lossed befor they get worse. This is a disaster waiting to happen. I don't know if Whalberg is still going to be Drake, but if he is all you need to think about is Max Payne. I never saw it and don't think he was entirely responsible for the crap that movie got, but you would think they would want to put someone else in there, and there is the fact that he absolutely does not fit into anything the uncharted world has.

If anyone's going to make this into a movie, at least let Naughty Dog choose the writers and director. And I hope Mark Wahlberg doesn't remain attached to the project. He needs to leave that role for Nathan Fillion. I mean look at him! And his first name is even Nathan like Nathan Drake. What more do you need? I am going to see the movie either way, but I would at least like to leave the theater without dumping my popcorn on the floor, shaking my head, and palming my face. After two directors have left, I'm fairly certain that's where all this is going to lead, but I hope I'm wrong.

The Uncharted series already aspires to be "movie-like" - a movie on it likely would either seem redundant or an attempt to cash in on the franchise's name when another franchise (or a new one) would suffice.

I mean, they've already got National Treasure, for instance.  There's no need to stand on the IP's shoulders to make this film while stepping on the fans'  toes in the process.

Don't mean to sound like a Debby downer here, but this doesn't look good for the movie. Even if they pull in a good director the screenwriters are still mediocre at best.

Uncharted doesn`t need a movie.

 Marianne and Cormac Wibberley? The same idiots behind pieces of shit like: Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, The Shaggy Dog, National Treasure, G-Force, (everything they have ever created). Not that I really had any hope for this film when psycho-boy/mediocre director David O. Russell was at the helm... but with these writers are some of the worst in Hollywood, so I'm just going to ignore it and hope it goes away.

man if this movie is out and everything was smooth in doing it ....... its going to be a huge hit :)
