Why bother when VITA is not even picking up much sales? It's not like more people will buy it because of this.
Sony to release Crystal White PlayStation Vita on June 28 in Japan; no official release date for other territories.
Sony will release a new Crystal White PlayStation Vita console in Japan next month. Unveiled by Sony Japan, the new console will go on sale on June 28 and will be priced at ¥29,980 ($375) for the Wi-Fi/3G model, and ¥24,980 ($313) for the Wi-Fi-only model.
Sony will also release matching accessories for the new white PS Vita, including an earbud headset, a white carrying pouch, a leather case, and a strap.
The publisher will also release a special-edition bundle to coincide with the Japanese release of Sega's Next Hatsune Miku: Project Diva, the next entry in the popular rhythm game franchise.
The bundle will contain a special-edition Hatsune Miku white Vita, a 4GB memory card, and a copy of the game. It will be released in Japan on August 30 this year for ¥10,000 ($125) more than the standard 3G and Wi-Fi versions of the white hardware.
Sony has not revealed any plans to release the Crystal White Vita or the special-edition Hatsune Miku Vita outside of Japan at this point.
Japan Always get the good stuff!! Curse you Sony... But don't worry... Already booked a flight to Japan Next month
I still prefer black (which is the one I've already own). But my favourite would be silver (like silver psp)
Sony are manufacturing a white Vita, therefore they cannot be working on new games. Great logic, guys.
Pretty Soon PSVita will have more Color systems than Games lol. Well on the Beight side atleast they get Hatsune Miku,I own all her games so I might have tofinallybuya Vita :P.
why are they separating us by colors. It should be better to release all the version of vita for everyone so that there won't be any hate building up. It feels like sony prefer one group of their fans and not all.
Somehow...I knew this was coming.Well,I'm more focused on getting some new & original games than a shiny new coat of paint....so the wait continues...
Once again, Sony goes out of its way to lower its bottom line. You would think something like this would spur interest if they released it everywhere instead of just Japan. They would probably see a sales increase in the Vita if they would just embrace other markets besides its own.
@peoplehating the white vita .... the good news is that WE ARE NOT getting it, JAPAN IS, :) so no need for hate on the west side of the world
why is it that there aren't any cool colors at launch of a new system these days? usually i either have to wait for the color i want or just settle with black which isn't so bad but still i wish there would be more color options at launch of a new system i mean at least with the 3DS there was blue or black but the vita only had black again not that bad but again i just wish there where more colors at launch
Great, a new color vita, thats exactly what we need..
not new games or anything... why would we want games for our brand new expensive game systems?
awesome to get white so you can scratch it up and get it all urine colored dirty ....
white is one of the worst things in this world whether it be for clothing or other stuff
every post about the vita allot of people says it needs more games you guys just need to be patent this happens to every new systems and it also takes time to make games even more on a new system since they aren't used to making game for it
and I am sure at this years E3 they will announce tons of new vita games
@shadowhunter0 yep, it'll happen, next month will be the start of next wave of releases. got some good stuff coming: Gravity Rush, LBP, Resistance: Burning Skies. looking forward to it
