Check out Ubisoft, they have loads of games ready. i know they've had the dev kits a while but surely ninty have too, why so few from ninty? i guess they're staggering their games so too much good stuff doesn't come at once, it would probably ruin the experience or something.
Nintendo lists 24 games available for the console's December 8 European launch date, 27 by year's end; 31 Virtual Console games also revealed for 2006.
Though North American gamers are still pretty much in the dark about what Wii games will be available the moment the system debuts, Nintendo has confirmed the European list of titles available to buy when the Wii goes on sale in that region on December 8. The list of Wii games due in Europe by the year's end is five titles less than those available for the US in 2006, and some titles are showing up in one region and not the other.
Nintendo is still offering three first-party games for the Euro launch, but instead of US launch title Excite Truck (due in Europe in February), European Wii owners will be able to pick up Wii Play (which still has not been scheduled for release in North America).
There are also a few changes with third-party games in Europe. System 3 is offering a pair of titles for the region's Wii launch--Gottlieb Pinball Classics and Super Fruit Fall--as well as Impossible Mission, Leaderboard Golf, and Tennis Masters by the end of December, but like Wii play, these games aren't on the North American slate. Fans waiting for Ubisoft's Blazing Angels: Squadrons of War will be pleased to see that the game is in the European lineup, if not the US one.
Here is the list of Wii games slated to be available for the European launch date, indexed by publisher:
Wii Sports (included with Wii)
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Wii Play (including Wiimote)
Call of Duty 3
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
Tony's Hawk's Downhill Jam
Madden NFL 07
Need For Speed Carbon
Rampage: Total Destruction
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz
Gottlieb Pinball Classics
Super Fruit Fall
Spongebob Squarepants: Creature from the Krusty Krab
Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII
Far Cry: Vengeance
GT Pro Series
Monster 4x4: World Circuit
Rayman Raving Rabbids
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent
Nintendo also announced the games that will be available to download on its Virtual Console channel for Europe. The list of titles is the same as those available to gamers in the US, with one extra title, SNES classic Donkey Kong Country. Nintendo promises that more titles will be added in 2007.
Pricing for the UK and Europe has been reitirated as "estimated" as follows: The console with one wireless controller, Nunchuk, Wii sports game, AV cable, and sensor bar will be £179 (249 euros). First-party games will retail at an estimated £34 to £39 (49 to 59 euros). Additional controllers will be priced as follows: The Wiimote will be £29 (39 euros), the Nunchuk will be £14 (19 euros), and the classic controller will be £14 (19 euros).
I dont want to hear any sony fanboy say nintendo is kiddy when sony themselves has a game called Strawberry Shortcake. That game alone single handedly takes out any "kiddie" game on nintendos consoles.
I think nintendo has tartgeted both children and adults. Whoever says that the wii is made for kids should just go pay $600 to play some adult games on ur crapy over done ps3. The only children games are practicly movie films which come out on every console. The wii has Zelda, Call of Duty 3, Farcry, Need for Speed Carbon etc. The ps3 launch titles are just sports games with three shooters and some anime game which got a bad review. WII for ever!
i have never seen so many children games (happy feet, ant bully) used as launch titles...what the hell was nintendo thinking. Who do they think the million people who actually camped out and waited for this system were, children? I completely love my wii I just really wish there was a larger selection of titles to play that I wouldnt have to be 9 to enjoy...but I'll wait it out, its only been 2 weeks after all
plus, look at the ps3, that has nothing, lol, the best selling game is available on EVERYTHING, great exclucivity
1 good game out of the bunch. Zelda is all they have, I am not interested in anything else. Sorry Nintendo, you just don't have the magic anymore.
I want to see Super Mario RPG, Zelda 1 & 2 for NES, Zelda for SNES, and all the good sports games on Virtual Console. It's not like you can't play these on an ***lator [censored] right now...
I assumed that having the console release later would enable us to have a larger first day choice, but apparently I'm wrong. What's with these delays for software that's already released across the pond??
Wii Sports (included with Wii) The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Wii Play (including Wiimote) Rayman Raving Rabbids Red Steel Perfect. Everything else on the list doesn't interest me.
DONKEY KONG COUNTRY!!! I guess Nintendo keep their promise of not excluding us in Europe. Despite being the last ones to get the Wii we at least get something to make the rest of the world feel jealous! I am disappointed at the lack of Excite Truck, Wario Ware and Trauma Centre as I was planning on buying them. Oh well.. they will probably be out sooner rather than later. Zelda will keep me more than busy..
well that lineup just sucks but as long as I have my TP it will hold me over till some other good stuff comes out
Now then now then now then now then... now... then... now.. This is not good for me! I pre-ordered a wii yesterday in gamestation, and also bought a 360 (but cant open it til christmas! how annoying is that!). Anyways - The wii pre-order games I had were red steel and zelda. I hoped that when they said "we will have more in, this is what we have so far" that excite truck and sonic were going to be out for launch, or at least before christmas.. But where is excite truck and sonic? I would like far cry but i already have all of them for the xbox and the pc.. and any others i can get for £20 for the 360 (like predator).. And i would much rather excite truck over 4x4... Very poor launch schedule from nintendo, i know zelda is a big game.. but come on at LEAST have excite truck on there! Or something like warioware and where the HECK is trauma centre??!?! I hope the titles I want are launch window titles, would be very annoying to wait for these when im back in work! :( Very good price for the classic controller though, I just hope that it works with gamecube games and does not drain the battery of the wii remote (or at least has a permanent line-in or something to the console). Im excited to get a wii, very, but without sonic or trauma centre and excite truck? Thats like 80% of my wii right there which isnt coming to europe. NOOO!!
Sounds good to me. Nintendo seems to have the Wii launch well organised not like another company I wont mention ( *Cough* Fony). I think there will still be a shortage and not every one who wants one will get one on launch but I think this will be because everybody wants one, or a vast majority of people do. Wii will do well here in Europe due to the late release of PS3. I like the fact that Nintendo are honest, not claiming thier console is a next generation machine but a new way to play games. In a years time you will be able to tell who owns a Wii because they will be fit game players, no longer will it be said that playing games will make you unfit. I look forward to waving my wiimote and nunchuk around my living room. My wife who is not a gamer (soap fan) has seen videos on the net of people using the new controllers and she even said it looked like fun and that she would have a go at it. RESULT. Maybe I can get her to purchase more games hehehe. Stay safe all. Come 8 December I hope to be Wiiing all over my lounge.
Can someone tell me because i can't remember at this specific time if the virual console games, i.e. Donkey Kong Country, are they free? or do you have to subscribe to something like XBL?
yeah pretty good line up, something fror everyone, shame that mario isnt out but its good to have something to wait for. Two minor gripes though, why do we have to buy our new fangled controller in two pieces, harsh ,and secondly why does europe get those turkey-games ,do they think us st00pid!?
was gonna get zelda anyway, now thanks to my car hating me and costing me more money from my wii fund, i have to decide between wii play (soley for the free wiimote) red steel or smb. Warioware is out in Jan 2007, Excite truck...... Feb 2007. Straight from Nintendos Euorpean web site. Not that bad for me, at least i'll have money for excite truck in feb! but for those that wanted it on release day not so good. EDIT : Damn just read the news properly, they already said about excite truck, damn my eyes!
why add donkey kong country for only europe?.....why not just have it for all countries if it's ready?.....
"Cool, i've had my eye on a few of the Nintendo Wii games, including Legend of Zelda (of course) which i've already preordered but also Red Steel, despite the fact that I don't particularly like Ubisoft (the whole Devil May Cry: Special Edition Control screw up just pushed me too far with that company) but if the game is good enough, I will temporarily throw aside my hate for Ubisoft to get this game. I wouldn't mind Trauma Uncut 2 as well, but I don't think that's out this year... " Um... DMC is Capcom.
Having the 2nd biggest release of the decade as a launch title can't hurt sales any. =) That is, assuming Twilight Princess does indeed live up to the hype of being the first true sequel to the most highly acclaimed game of all time.
um yeah about ppl making fun of super fruit fall, they r a seperate company from nintendo, and the reason nintendo is getting games that may seem stupid or kiddy is not only because the console has always been and always will be for everyone, something for everyone, also its because nintendo is the most affordable console coming to develope for, many indy devs will most likely bring out hot new titles or at least original titles just for wii..why knock it, nintendo will most likely save alot of companies from going under in the upcoming years.. the newer consoles r extremely expensive in comparisno when developement is involved.. ninty is a blessing..
when will be Zelda: OoT and Majoras Maks available for the virtual console? and will we see GoldenEye again? I doubt it, but I still have my hopes...:(
Nice news for the people in ???? but it is good for everyone because if a gamer wins then we all win!

Red Steel, LoZ:TP, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance..and Wii Sports, obviously. But I agree; what's with the lack of Excite Truck? That was on my list! But hoorah for Europe getting Donkey Kong Country, I *knew* that had to be a VC game. :D
