Demo for WWE Smackdown! vs. Raw 2007 rumbles onto Marketplace; Tony Hawk, Wheelman trailers also now available.
With one day remaining in Microsoft's X06 event and week-and-a-half-long Bringing it Home promotion, gamers are keeping their eyes glued to Xbox Live Marketplace for downloadable content from their most anticipated games. For those looking forward to having a go with THQ's WWE Smackdown! vs. RAW 2007, today was finally their lucky day.
A 1.06GB demo of the upcoming wrassler has dropped from the top rope and onto Xbox Live Marketplace. The trial lets two playable wrestlers--Triple H and Kane--compete in one-on-one exhibition matches. The full ring entrances have been included, as has the option to fight clean or dirty. Those hoping to slam buddies across Xbox Live will have to wait for the retail game to hit stores in November--an online mode was given the three-count in the demo.
Also released today were trailers for Activision's Tony Hawk's Project 8, Midway Games' The Wheelman, and THQ's Frontlines: Fuel of War. Gamers can also give their Xbox a makeover with Fable 2 and X06 themes for the 360's dashboard. The previously released content packs for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion are also now available in France, Italy, Germany, and Spain.
Tomorrow is the final day for the Bringing it Home promotion. Gamers had better get their download on, as Microsoft previously that said much of the content that has gone up as part of the promotion will be available only through tomorrow.
its good, but i wish they could have had added more wrestlers and match types in the demo, there is only hhh and kane with full entrance videos in a single match only, but its awesome
Well I guess Id better log off and get on my high horse to XBL and sit and wait and wait for it to be downloaded! GOTTA GO! Yea rite, I still got some time lol
"So about this bringing it home promo. What makes the Bringing it Home demo of F.E.A.R. any different than the one i downloaded of Xbox live?" Ummm all the demos are in the Xbox live category. But this demo was presented at "Bringing it home" from the Tokyo Game Show. It's not different. It's just in two categories. Just like if you looked in "New Releases" you would find new demos but you'd also find them in "All demos".
So about this bringing it home promo. What makes the Bringing it Home demo of F.E.A.R. any different than the one i downloaded of Xbox live?
This demo is unbalanced. It takes forever to get up from a move, even at the beginning of the match. And you opponent can reverse anything you throw at him. And don't attribute this to me sucking at the game, I am a verteran of this series, I know what I'm doing. I agree it takes too slow to get up from a pin and by then the other guy does a million moves too you. And the whole fatigue system isnt balanced, after a second of jogging the player gets so fatigued he could barley stand. I mean are these guys eighty years old?
When MIcrosoft does stuff like this it really shows that they understand what it means to have a fully online console. Instead of just showing their gamers pretty pictures that you have to go on your computer to view they make the content available over XBL. Sony, Nintendo pay attention to this, trust me, people love this.
i'm downloading...not to hopeful about smackdown though...haven't really dug a wrestling game since n64's no mercy.

jeremygordontx Who wrote this ludicrous headline? Implies that Microsoft's Xbox Live service was somehow damaged by a new demo. Of course we all get the reference of the verb and preposition to the title of the game featured in the demo, but this is just lazy, egregiously sensationalistic copy editing. And this is oratorical onanism at it's most deplorable. We get it... you've got a thesaurus and we're all thrilled about it. The headline is supposed to be a joke... is it hilarous? Hardly, but given the material, the author did what he could with it. Not that it matters... when's the last time a good wrestling game came out anyway? MOVE: Analog Stick GRAPPLE / PUNCH / KICK / SPECIAL MOVE: Mash Buttons *yawn*
I get an error after it starts to download that tells me the demo can't be downloaded. Any one else get this?
Its allright I guess not the best but I dont watch WWE I like backyard wrestling and JCW more but I have it on pre order.
screw this, give us those demos of Lost Odessy, Blue Dragon, Assassin's Creed and Gears of War that they let people play at TGS and X06.
Well, I just got finished playing some matches... seems like a really nice demo, despite the fact that there are only two selectable wrestlers.
