I don't care what it launches with if you can't have the option to play off-line. Won't be getting it rather I'll be getting a PS4.
Xbox 360 US sales hit 302,000 in February

Microsoft reveals its home console was top performer last month.
Microsoft sold 302,000 Xbox 360 units in the United States during February, the company announced today, citing data from research firm NPD Group.
The Xbox 360 has been the top-selling platform in the US for 26 straight months now, Microsoft said.
Sony and Nintendo have not announced sales data for the PlayStation 3 and Wii U, respectively. If they do, that information will be included in this report.
The Xbox 360's days may be numbered, as Microsoft is rumored to announce its next-generation platform next month and release it by the end of the year.
Additionally, the NPD Group will release its full February US sales report later today. Check back with GameSpot for a breakdown of the full findings.

Am I the only one surprised at these figures? I never really paid attention, but 300,000+ sold? In one month?! Jesus.
Xbox has been the top-selling console for 26 months, but both the Wii and PS3 have outsold the Xbox. So obviously the 360 is going to be outselling a month-to-month basis if everyone already has the other two. I'm not even going to go into how many of those 360 customers are repeat customers because they had to buy a second (or third, or fourth) console.

2 Like man sony fanboys are sooooo insecure. i have a ps3 and its a ps1/ps2 classic netflix hulu vessel in the bedroom. but since i bought a vita that shit collects dust unless i want to play ni no kuni (persona 4 and random ff games on the go)... my xbox is in the living room on the biggest tv in the house for a reason mainly because most of friends have xbox's hence why i am mainly on my xbox. im not dishing on sony just giving my pov on why it is what it is in my household. no need for the crying or defending any console tooth and nail its makes you look like 45 year old mouthbreathing neck beard having basement dwellers. but since im here i am upset i bought and wii u since nothing worthwhile (imo) is out on it yet and zombie u was a huge letdown
I have both the Xbox and PS3, I love both systems, but my Xbox gets far more use. I've had my Xbox since 2008, with no issues for replacement as of yet. On the other hand, my PS3 is on its way out (it freezes up every now and then). I've had it since 2007, so that's not too bad I guess. I need a bigger capacity hard drive at this point anyway. It would be nice if the next xbox is 100% BC. The main significance of the sales #'s is that Xbox 360 is whooping the sales of Wii U.
@IMDLEGEND The WiiU failed IMO. I don't see the sales getting better, though I'm sure they'll bust out the hundredth Mario game here soon.
I suppose I understand, most of my friends had more than one xbox 360, for numerous reasons (#1 is broken ones). The PS3 also breaks (like mine did, got replaced), but only me in all of my friends had to replace it, so I suppose it's far less often. I'd like to see how people are buying things from each stores.

1 Like If MS allow Backward Compatibility on the new Xbox, and in turn provide a migration path which allows the existing 360 base to simply upgrade they are definately on the right path.

5 Like The reason why the Xbox 360 sells so well in the US. It was meant for hardcore gamers and has a great competitive online gaming. (Which is fun) now the PS3 is not selling well in the US because it a home console that been Sony motto for years they felt comfortable with this formula for years with a great quality game and better graphics. Now if they would have grasped the social element of gaming from the start. Then Xbox 360 will be struggling. It?s not about, which system is inferior or cheap that a person opinion you have to be system analyst or an hardware engineer (To know your s$%#) to actually say that. PEOPLE choose the Xbox 360 due to great marketing and choice and feedback.
2 Like @JusXice The reason why X360 sells better in USA it is because it is an American product and many American xbox owners are a bunch of nationalists. Which also explains why the PS3 sells more in Europe. Being free from a nationalistic bias, we Europeans know better!!

Sony completely copied xbox live and it is NOWHERE near better. Matchmaking on live is unbeatable! Show me the link where you read PS3 surpassed xbox.
@JusXice Great marketing. That was all there was to it really, only the hardcore fans knew what they were getting with each console otherwise. Microsoft's strategy of ramming it down your throat worked wonders for them.
