Xbox Grand Prix 4 canceled

Infogrames announces that the console version of its recently released PC racing game is no longer in development.

Following the 2880148recent announcement that Infogrames is closing its MicroProse UK studio, the French publisher has today announced that the Xbox version of Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix 4 has been canceled.

The game was nearing completion and scheduled for release before the end of the year, and an Infogrames representative we spoke to was keen to point out that the decision to cancel the game was made for corporate reasons and was in no way influenced by its quality.

The Xbox version of Grand Prix 4 was to be the series' first-ever appearance on a game console. Anyone still keen to play the game should check out our previous coverage of the recently released PC version.
