Zen Pinball adding Star Wars tables

Zen Studios releasing 10 Star Wars-themed pinball tables; first three based on Episode V, Boba Fett, and The Clone Wars.

Zen Studios today announced the Star Wars Pinball Table Collection, an officially licensed 10-pack of tables based on George Lucas' iconic science-fiction universe. The first set will feature tables based on Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Boba Fett, and The Clone Wars.

According to Zen Studios, each table in the collection has been designed with a specific theme, character, or event from the Star Wars universe in mind. The Empire Strikes Back table includes actual footage from the film and is set on the Executors Star Destroyer main deck. In addition, it features characters like Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and a stormtrooper, as well as 3D objects like an AT-AT walker and a TIE fighter.

The Clone Wars table is set between the events of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. The table's artwork is based on the cartoon style of the series and will feature characters like Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano.

Third, the Boba Fett table is focused on the bounty hunter and includes the iconic Sarlacc pit and imagery from the capture of Han Solo sequence during Episode V. Characters include Boba Fett, Darth Vader, a stormtrooper guard, and Jabba the Hutt.

The Star Wars Pinball Table Collection will be available as downloadable content for Pinball FX2 on Xbox Live Arcade and Windows 8 and Zen Pinball 2 on PlayStation Network and the Mac app store. It will also be available through Zen Pinball on iTunes and Zen Pinball HD on Google Play.

The Collection is also coming to iTunes and Google Play as a stand-alone game. Additional platforms will be announced in the near future, the company said.

My mind is boggling about what the future 7 tables could be. Lets have a Battle of Yarvin or Battle of Endor table where you can shoot the ball at a giant Death Star to destroy it (Medieval Madness style!).

I do draw the line at an Angry Birds Star Wars table.

This is how DLC should work.  EA should pay attention.

Yeees!  I've been waiting for Star Wars to come to Pinball FX 2!  This is one of those games I can just sit down and play no matter what mood I'm in.  Pinball is underrated these days.

Friggin'.  Awesome.  I was growing kind of weary of the Marvel License, and was thinking maybe they could go DC... but this is even better!  Sidenote, if you only ever play one game in stereoscopic 3d on your ps3, it should be THIS game.  Zen Pinball is the showcase for 3d actually enriching a game experience.  Absolutely beautiful.

I hope there's no Jar Jar Binks on the tables, unless it's to kill him with multi balls!

Arcades were where it was at if you missed out playing in a cool Arcade in the 80s and 90s you missed out on everything about gaming.

I want a real pinball machine like this.  Too bad pinball has kind of gone the way it has but thats a problem with the decline of arcades and the high cost of the machines.

So Pinball Arcade has the StarTrek TNG table and now Zen Pinball has StarWars? Maybe Pinball Arcade needs to work on getting the DC licence also :)

Pinball tables are expensive but if I can ever get the scratch together I'm putting at least one in my home.  I love a good pinball machine.
