Anyone else getting very blurry graphics?
- Feb 15, 2013 10:17 am GMTI bought the PAL version and when I started playin NNK, the graphics blew my mind but not in a good way...it was unbelievably blurry and undefined...I'm so disappointed...and yes, my PS3 is connected to my 40 inch1080P led tv via HDMI and the resolutions are set correctly in the XMB...My other PS3 games look sharp, only a few demos look blurry, ie MGS4 demo, for example. I read that the native resolution of NNK is only 1024x768 or something like that, so I don't know if my tv scales the game badly...but I tried to play it via two monitors too, an LG an a Dell and the blurrines was still there. I'm disappointed and sad that one my most anticipated games proved to be one of the ugliest games I've ever played, and before anyone gets too excited, no, I'm not a troll. My other games are way sharper than NNK. Anyone else has this same problem? =/

It's weird, because I've tried NNK with a plasma, albeit a poor quality one, and two pc monitors, and the blurriness is still there...what kind of tv you have, SNESNOSTALGIA2? I've tried to change the resolutions in PS3's settings, I have the pc mode on in my tv, so the picture should be the best possible...
I think that a good plasma or a projector would make the game look gorgeous and sharp, but 1080P lcd just scales the game's native resolution too much. =/
Otherwise my two monitors would make the game look sharp...I'm kinda stumped because no one else has said that the game is blurry...But the game is NOT the sharpest game I have, not by a long shot...=(

I've noticed that this game is blurrier than most other games I've played. I'm using a 55" lg led 1080p. I'm sure all my other settings are set properly, all my other games look fine. My wife even commented that this game looks a little blurry. I think it may have something to do with the game running at 720p versus 1080p.

Yeah, I think that the native resolution of NNK is only 1024x720 and 1080P tv scales it so much that the picture is very blurry in the end. Those who say it's the sharpest game they have must have Plasma tv's or projectors...So either I sell the game or sell my current tv and get a plasma. It's a shame, because the game is great otherwise. =/
It's almost like playing a Wii game on a LCD tv, that's how bad it is... =/

Actually my tv isn't that expensive or good, just a basic model...=D But if your game looks like a Ghibli movie on bluray, then my game looks truly like a Wii game, it is nowhere near that sharp...Every other game looks sharp...=/

Maybe you have only 1080p enabled on PS3? Check 720p too. PS3 games are 720p and lower but upscaled, maybe your console tries to upscale it, you need to run in native resolution like all games - in 720p.

I have 720P selected, so that's not the problem...I've tried only 720P too and the picture remained blurry. I've tried PC mode on my tv, so the picture should be the best possible, and other games look good. But NNK remains very blurry, only my old tubetv shows it sharp...so it must be a resolution thing...=/

Have you tried setting it to both 720p and 1080p? I have a 1080p 32" Panasonic Viera and haven't had any problems with bluriness.

Yeah, I've tried both resolutions. It baffles me how some people say it looks sharp and some people say it looks blurry on their televisions...But I'm going to test NNK with my friends projector, it's 720P and other games look great on it. At least I see if the problem is my tv. =)
