@pc-ps360 both games have lots of similarities in fact ninja blade is a rip off of ninja gaiden so i think a comparison is in order and yes you right ninja gaiden is very complex which is why i still ant play it,i got stuck very early on the game so i put it aside up to this day

@steelmouth u cant compare the 2 games ninja gaiden is in a totally different class of game. this game is like an arcade beat em up. ninja gaiden is very very complex compared to this.

i hav this on pc it fast paced and alot of fun. if feels like an arcade beat em up its alot of fun

just play this game and thought it was underrated, it is better than i expected

A good review but with the insane number of QTEs, the insane visuals, and the challenging gameplay Ninja Blade deserves to stand in the 8 range rather than in the 7.

yah i will do the ninja blade vs ninja gaiden once am done with both games in a week or two

wow i dnt know wat all the complaints are about i bought both this and ninja gaiden this week, i was gonner play ninja gaiden 1st but oh boy i havent put this down yet the QTE are fun a whole bunch of fun, and the clown outfits are ridicularly fun too ( think of it as saying am a bad ass ninja and i want ma oponents to see me and come get some) i love it, the only complain there is some Deja Vu level that repeats all the boses i beat early,ps i cant beat ken's father wic is why am here on a break, aft ths am get me a pink outfit and go kick his ass,

Played it on the 360, and I had a real problem beating Ken's father...that said it's lots of fun and now that they have released the PC version I will be picking it up to run on my high-end rig. This should be cool as the frame rate issues of the console version should be a thing of the past!

If it wasn't for the crate glitch in level 4, and the Deja Vu level, I would have given this game an 8.0 for its awesome fun, but because of those two things I can only give it a 7.5. Great game though.

I enjoyed the demo. I'm a fan of quick time events in games. Anyone who has the game - does Ninja Blade get dull fast? Or will I like it if I liked the demo? I'm also a hardcore fan and gamer of Ninja Gaiden. Should I get this?

A friend of mine who played 'Ninja Blade' complained about how far apart the save points were located. I might still give the game a try.

Hasn any1 even noticed the annoing thing about this game,this game is all fun and evertyhing but the save problems for this game really take the piss,There are some long missions in this game, and sadly u have to finish it that long mission or else if u quit or anything u have to do the mission right from the beginning i learnt that when i was on mission 4 facing the electro hydra's,now i have to do the mission all over again!,RELI THE SEQUEL TO THIS GAME NEEDS TO SORT THAT OUT OR ELSE RELI I DONT SEE HOW ON EARTH PEOPLE WILL EVER FINISH THIS GAME!,PLZ MAKE AN AVAILABILITY WHERE U R ABLE TO SAVE AT A CERTAIN POINT AND IF U QUIT AND PLAY IT,IT WILL STILL BE ON UR PREVIOUS SPOT U SAVED AT!

it is really worth every thing you got .... hope that it comes for PC .....its really awesome ... the gamepla is really awesome .... try wanted and quantum of solace ... they both are also good but sadly they are two small games ...

The demo was okay but i didnt really like it. All the quick time button presses pished me off and all the button smashing. Dont get me wrong its decent but it was just my opinion.

this game aint bad it has elements of DMC and Ninja gaiden but then i am a sucker 4 sword games 7 is the rating id give it

Right? :| As for the game. Played the demo. Was fun. But it was a bit too much flash and too less subtance to pay 69 euros for...

First of all, reviewer, you look as old as my dad, so I guess that explains how dumb you sound - you said 'quick-time events' at least three times within about 30 seconds before I stopped listening to you. Ok. I heard you. You said quick-time event. Can't you use a synonym, like button mashing sequence, or something like that? Whoops - four. You said it again. And your enunciation. Oh by the way... Do you all seriously think that there wasn't any ninja based video games before ninja gaiden? When you think about it every game is ripping some little aspect of another game away to make its own game. Besides this game isn't trying to replace the other, its just telling a different story with different characters dancing to a different tune in a different realm of reality all togather... So buck up ol boys and girls.. Grab your swords and throwing knifes theres game afoot..

Just bought the game yesterday and wow... Finally a ninja game verison of what the die hard and lethal weapon series did for film. Still theres a few things I didn't like much about it but still it was a very impressive game from start to end.

billa......... ...god damn it.... sigh... just...go back to riddick..just go... they essentially reviewed butcher bay and that was pretty much it. Im not gonna get into an argument over which is better. Just go now and keep your mouth shut about it. Go love your game.

@billaboy69: Stop being a nut. Go read/watch the butch bay review. It's a solid 9.0 It's now a 4 year old game and the Dark Athena review is based on the new content, not the excellent experience 4 years ago. Stop running around to leave comments on games rated slightly higher than Riddick. Grow up.

think the outfit kills it for me

i guess they know its not good as ninja gaiden so they put in heaps of those QTE...probably to keep u from getting bored or falling asleep...believe me i play this demo B4...weapons feel really weird and weak compare to NG...but i will admit that the cinamatics looks very interesting...
