It's different than the 360 version, but I wouldn't say it's hands-down better. Less cheap, yes, but also less challenging. Also there were several areas that felt empty because the developer removed a swarm of enemies that would ambush you unfairly. The encounter wasn't re-balanced, it was just... gone. I noticed this most in the Aqua City stages. Ultimately I was less satisfied with this version compared to the 360 version, due to a huge reduction in challenge in boss fights (compare 20 tries on the final boss to 1 try) and the lack of blood (soo much less visceral). To be fair I never tried the co-op missions. My two cents.

I love Ryu Hayabusa wit a passion (no homo but this game should've kept the same gore of the 360 version NG2 cause it jus stepped up the playing field for hack and slash and platforming games alike.. If Kratos can b excepted for his F*CK YOU and brutal mentality so can Ryu.. Also the third installment needs to continue the gore with splitscreen coop, splitscreen missions and if I want to play the missions by myself allow me to PLEASE configure my AI partner to whatever difficulty is needed for the mission, also start us off with some health at least DAMN IT!! But great game keep 'em coming bigger and better..

Rheinmetal Fail. Ninja Gaiden was before GoW (i think), and is NOTHING like DMC. Considering the series itself dates back about 15 years (or more) you cant really claim it to be a clone of anything. If anything, many games take inspiration from it. Add to this the AMAZING platforming that is unrivaled in this sort of game (because we all know Mario is the king of platforming as a whole) make this more than a clone. *backhand*

I saw a video for game that rated "AO"..... means a game for (Adults Only) without problems and my age less than 18, so why i can`t see the "mature" rated game

Darnasian

@Rockleebeasts Man ESRB is the company that rates the games with:TEEN,EVERYONE+10..... This is in America! In Europe is a company named PEGI! When you make a gamespot account you need to write your birth day and this game is rated Mature so if you aren't over 18 years old you can't see the video! Understand now?

wtf is wrong with this video did gamespot just take a crap or wat it says "We're sorry, but you are not eligible to view or download this video due to ESRB guidelines" WTF IS ESRB

I think its good to see Tecmo creating new things. I'm happy that Sigma 2 will be easier than Sigma 1. If you ever played Sigma 1 you know that it can be as frustrating as losing in the end of a boss fight in Demon's Souls or losing to the Steelers in Madden 10 on All pro in the last 2 minutes. Though its awkward with boob jiggling I think the fans will say WTF and more sexual perverse players will be shaking the controller through every cutscene but who wouldn't.

I know everyone will disagree with me on this but I actually thought NGII was a better game than the first one. I loved NGII for 360 so I'm definitely picking this one up!

BarricadeS281E

@enraged caveman Lol, woo-hoo for pointing that out ("decypher") - irony indeed. Anyways, a blood patch would be a nice little add-on, The Witcher got one a while back, so why not? I've never played the original NGII, but hilarious enough, I find myself missing the more intense blood and gore of that title. The game's pretty good as it is, but just sayin' that making blood optional would be a good idea.

@ThePowerOfHAT - getting hit by unseen attacks and exploding shurikens that were thrown by enemies far off screen. In the review he says they have improved this in Sigma 2 so i think there is less of this happening now.

@crossaxe - The main dude called "Itagaki" was the brains for Ninja Gaiden 1 & 2. He left Team Ninja after 16 years of service, filing a lawsuit against it for withholding bonus pay and he took half of the good developers from the team with him. So maybe that's why the team was less faithful to there original consoles Anyways he and his team has built a game engine from scratch in under 1 year already and is currently working on an action title and it should be a great one. Read up on itagaki and you will see or go here: http://www.1up.com/do/feature?cId=3174393 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomonobu_Itagaki

The many improvements do make me jealous that they aren't releasing this version on the 360, though the jiggling boobs business is just silly and I'm sure I'd actually miss the copious amounts of blood from the original version. (Really, the bloodiness of NG2 is one of the primary things that made it such a treat to look at. One of those rare games that was just plain fun to watch.) The fact that the enemy A.I. has supposedly seen some improvements as well is also significant, as that was one of my major complaints on the 360. Honestly, I'd love to see a Ninja Gaiden Black 2. The normal version of the game was a big letdown for me due to the lack of additional content like costumes and Mission Mode out of the box. Honestly, I think Black 2 would sell pretty damn well if they packed in as much as they did in Sigma 2, though I'd still like to see the blood come back. Seriously, why'd they get rid of so much of it anyway? It looked awesome, despite the few splatter bugs. [EDIT] Another thing that's been implied in many reviews for this is that there's less "cheapness" in regards to the difficulty. Another thing that bothered me about NG2 in comparison to the original was that I was often finding myself getting hit by unseen attacks and exploding shurikens that were thrown by enemies far offscreen. A lot of the difficulty was due more to bad luck than due to a lack of skill on the player's part, whereas it was pretty much ALWAYS due to lack of skill in the original. Anything that hearkens back to that game's balance sounds like a good change to me. [/EDIT]
