Does the Wii read dual layer DVDs?

When I play LoZ I see some "bright" dots in the screen, it happens more in place with more movement (like sand blowing). I play on an LCD tv and LCD monitor.
It doesn't happen with RE UC, I haven't tried with other games yet.
Does it mean my GPU is fried?

That would require that it runs as a background program when the Wii starts up.
    Possible, yes, but incredibly unlikely.

Technically, yes, they are dual layered disks with the same capacity as a DVD, but they arent quite DVDs (notice the "DVD" emblem is missing from the box and disks).

Fry-ing would be a better term.
I wouldnt jump to conclusions, though. It could just be the game or TV (TP is programed... weird). Wait and see if it gets worse.

What do I do if I get random disc read errors while playing a game? It only happened while I was playing Metroid Prime 3. It'd say DRE then i'd have to pop out the disc and re place it in and it worked, thus continuing from where I left off. But sometimes when I put a new disc in it says cannot read disc, what do I do? Also, ever since the release of brawl, and constant hours of playing it, my Wii now makes buzzing noises when a disc is inside, it's done it since April.

PS I didn't see anything in your topic about this problem, so sorry if I missed it.

    Try cleaning the disk.
Buzzing noise is probably just it reading the disk. Dual layered disks have to be spun faster.

My discs are spotless, my new game (Mario Kart Wii) I had to re put in 4 times for it to work cause it kept saying disc read error.

The nintendo wi-fi USB adapter doesn't have to be in the same room as your computer. My computer is 3 rooms away and I have my door closed, and it still works. Each room isn't small either.

Oh, and I'm sure this is old news, but some games DO require individual friend codes (I.E. Brawl, Mario Kart) while others don't (Metroid Prime 3) Metroid Prime 3 uses the wii's number.

Not changing this sig until Mega Man Legends 3 comes out. Maybe. Probably?

When the light is red, can I unplug the Wii? I have Wiiconnect24 on, but it wouldn't go to the red light so I turned standby mode off and now it goes to the red light - is this good? Meaning is turning standby mode off good?

About returning my Wii to Nintendo for warranty.
Should I erase everything in the internal memory or leave everything there?
Will I have to pay for VC games again?

    Thanks in advance.

    Depends on "good".
It wont get warm while the Wii is off anymore, but it may be a little slower to start up and your Wii wont receive mail/miis while it's off either.

Technically, no, but like anything if you're going to unplug it it's better and safer to turn it off via the power button first.

How do I get MP3 playback? I never upgraded to 1.1 - it must've been part of those updates done when connected to the internet. Is there a way to downgrade?
