So I'm only missing three trophies to get the platinum...two of the coin collections and the all skills one. What is the best way to obtain all the coins I'm missing?

Most people farm on Zoro's stage 7 but I'd find playing the same stage over and over would get boring so I'd suggest just keep jumping around randomly.
However, I find the drop rate seems to have better luck based on who/where you play as for what coins you find.
For example, I was missing Magellan for a while. I played the Jinbei Impel Down stage about 4 times and finally got it.
I got all of Zoro's swords just from playing his another log, and been finding Brooke's personal items through playing as him etc.

i agree with you i need sanji but never got his coin till i started playing as him. btw thats no small number luffy, ace, zoro, nami and then sanji and on umm choppers home island name escapes me his coin drops XD

Just a heads up, I avoided playing in Log mode episode 11, but just playing 2 times I got 2 different new coins (IIRC it was Marco's mark and D mark).
Also I played Brook Sabaody episode and got Ace (Which I hadn't) so try playing every episode of another log some times.

Does anyone know about how long it takes to get all the coins? Debating if I even want to spend all the extra time just to get this platinum..

Challenges can give you a whole bunch of gold 3 star coins, they are just hard as it is a survival mode. You can sometimes get 12 coins off on challenge if you complete it successfully, just remember it is random how many you get.

Like most other people have said it's completely random. I'm just missing two coins, Alvida Mark and Sanji Mark (New) and neither drops no matter how much I play or what mode/stage I play. It's quite frustrating to say the least.
