Tekken 6 on PS3: will be Bloodline Rebe ...

So apparently Namco-Bandai held a press conference yesterday (pre-TGS), during which they announced that Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion (the arcade update to T6 much like Dark Resurrection was to T5) will be coming to PS3. The latest IGN podcast (http://games.ign.com/articles/916/916844p1.html, right around 24:10 in) also mentions that Namco said it will have more content than the arcade version.
Considering how the article and podcast is worded, it seems like Namco will be skipping over releasing vanilla T6 (which is just an assumption by me until I can find more sources from that press conference). If so, this means do not expect the PS3 version to be here anytime soon. I highly doubt seeing it the first half of 2009 considering the BR update to the arcade is only just hitting arcades this December in Japan.

And the arcade version of Tekken 6 has been in Japanese arcades for just under a year now. There's a bunch of match videos on youtube if you want to see how it looks.

"Namco-Bandai wants to give an incentive to gamers out there who haven't been able to check out the game in the arcades, and will be packing in some additional content for the home version. Though it wasn't said specifically what will be included, it was mentioned that it'll be content beyond what'll be present in the Bloodline Rebellion, which is an update to Tekken 6 arcade featuring two new fighters."
So it looks like Namco is skipping over releasing plain old T6 and going straight to Bloodline Rebellion as I assumed. Thus, the wait continues... I should see if there are any arcades near me that imported it, and go get my ass kicked. On a side note, anyone here still play T5

Yeah, I find this really sad that it hasn't been released yet, having been out for a while in arcades and pics and vids have been out for years ...
