So, a couple weeks ago, my graphics card broke down. Yes, it did kind of suck. a lot. I couldn't really do anything with my computer at the time. Fortunately, I had a warrenty. So, I sent it in. Low and behold, they were incredibly nice and sent back a replacement card, Except instead of sending me a new GeForce 9400, they sent me a 9600 GT. woo! So, I tried it out, found that it is indeed a signifficantly better card. I can now run Call of Duty 4 on my pc without lag, on decent settings! I was wondering if I would be able to run the first Mass Effect game. Anyone know? My specs are: Intel Core 2 6300 @ 1.86GHz GeForce 9600 GT and 3.00 GB of ram, not sure what sort or how it's split up. My guess would be 2 1.00 GB sticks, and 2 512 MB sticks. It's a bit of an older machine though. They're probably slower as well. maybe 667 or 800 mhz. and, I'm running XP.
any way, if anyone has my answers, that would be awesome. The main thing I'm worried about is the system speed being too low. the minimum specs for that are 2.4 GHz, but can the ram/graphics card compensate for that?
