Interested in bringing this union back?
I noticed that there are a few comments in this union that were posted as recently as April. Seems that people still visit from time to time, so I feel that it's unfair that I never update.... I really do not visit Gamespot anymore in general, but

DS Exclusive Network Re-Modeling
Okay, I have decided to add the Wii into the mix among other things. I personally cannot devote enough time to this project so I am hoping that there are members and officers who would like to help in fixing this union up. I started a new topic in the union board for discussion of this issue. Lets get things moving!

New Prince of Persia game confirmed for the DS
Ubisoft recently confirmed that they're working on a Prince of Persia title for the DS. Instead of being a sequel to the card-based game Battles of Prince of Persia, the next outing
for the Prince on the dual-screened beauty looks to be based on the
franchise's latest installment, with the game having a placeholder name
of Prince of Persia: Rival Blades, a name that was previously scrapped as the title for Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones.

Joint Union?????
Doomsday is here. We the DS Exclusive Network have spawned Satan's son. In talks between myself and an officer, we have decided that we become a joint union with, hold you breath, The PSP Excluisve Network. Thought the union is not yet even created, I myself will contribute to that union in the hopes that these two unions will be able to put aside their differences. Now some of you may be calling me a sell out now, but I am doing this for us. With a joint union, activity will no doubt increase alongside recruitment. And of course to defend this awesome union, even though we will be partnering with a PSP union, I will keep the D!S_PSP thread up. And on another note, I don't own a PSP, and I never will. Yes the DS pwns the PSP out of the water, but hey, we have to help out are fallen comrade, because hey! He won't be on the market much longer!

EA Cuts Back PSP Dev. in Favor of the DS
"There’s no doubt that EA has historically bet more on PSP," Gardner explained. "I think we were excited by the technology, but the consumers have proven that actually what they want is fun. What we need to focus on is fun and so EA is putting more effort behind DS games —and creative ones that really take advantage of the hardware.

A World Without Nintendo
Nintendo and its many innovative products have had a significant impact on not only its respective industry but the world, so what would happen if the company ceased to exist? Furthermore, what if Nintendo had decided to pursue something other than games some thirty plus years ago? Would there even be a games industry to speak of? We're not expecting some crazy time shift to occur, so Nintendo's history isn't in danger of being erased, nor does it look like the famous publisher is going anywhere anytime soon, but we still felt the need to ponder what the world would be like without Nintendo...

Two New Officers
As many of you probably know, becoming an officer in this union is as easy as me getting with each of your moms. Yeah, its that easy. And by the way each of you members may be getting a new brother or sister in about nine months. Anyway back on topic, I would like all of you to give a warm welcome to Mr. Lurker and Mr. Tidus. I promoted these guys because maybe a couple of weeks down the road, I may be axing unactive officers. Who knows, you may be NEXT.

Starfox Hands On
"Star Fox with a stylus? Ugh!" It was the exclamation heard 'round the world after the game sprouted up at the Electronic Entertainment Expo back in May. Nintendo kept a tight lid on Star Fox Command, using E3 as both the announcement of the product as well as its public playable debut. But the kids cried foul when they discovered that the Nintendo DS game would stray from the standard flight combat controls and instead adopt a unique touch screen mechanism to fly around in the classic Arwings. Now that the game's available in Japan, we've managed to put a good amount of time into the final product to see how well the DS can handle the familiar Star Fox gameplay via the touch panel for almost the entirety of control.

As the Summer Closes.....
Well, the usual Summer droll is almost over! There have a lack of good games (save for New Super Mario brothers), and for most of us, we just haven't had the time to invest in our DS's. however, with some new games coming out, we seem to forget the cheaper, older games. Inside is a list of games that are now, and are great buys.

New Banner and Icon

As many of you probably noticed the union has a new kick ass banner created by yours truly. As you see I have opted to choose the black DS Lite as I feel that that is the best colour. You may also notice to the right of the DS Lite are DS games that are available for the DS. Games including Metroid Prime Hunters, New Super Mario Bros. and Animal Crossing. To the left are characters from games that are going to be launced soon including Phantom Hourglass, Starfox Command and the new Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis.

[UPDATE]

You may have also noticed a new icon, and that would be because of me. The old one we had was there before I even became leader of this union, and I was really getting sick and tired of that ugly icon so I changed it to a more simple one.

Portrait of Ruin

July 24, 2006 - Since Castlevania hit the Game Boy Advance just after the system's launch, it's been nothing but pure gold. Even Harmony of Dissonance, which is considered to be the weakest of the series, is still an amazing package that does the series justice. But while the GBA titles were great games, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow for DS is the only one that, in this reporter's opinion, comes close to the pinnacle side-scrolling adventure game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. In fact, it's the pursuit of dethroning what is considered by many to be one of the world's greatest games - my personal favorite - that keeps the Castlevania series reaching to such heights, as we see it again in Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin.

Nintendo Game Offerings
The fourth quarter of 2006 will herald a new era for Nintendo with the launch of its remarkable new Wii home video game system. But that's not what this news item is about! How could that be, you ask? Perhaps the secret to the launch information for Wii is somehow encoded in the text of this news item. You might want to pore over it for a few hours before staying up all night to debate phraseology and comma placement with your friends online. Or maybe it's all just a scam to get you to read the other games we have launching this fall. One of the two.

New Super Mario Bros. Challenge Mode

Thought you’d done all there was to do with New Super Mario Bros? You rocked Bowser Jr’s face off, collected all the Star Coins, and figured you were the cat’s pajamas? Think again, young whipper snappers. Until you’ve played New Super Mario Bros’ recently discovered Challenge Mode, you’re just a weird kid wearing your mom’s kitten-patterned nightie.

Gamers who’ve already finished the game will be able to access this secret Challenge Mode by hitting Start in the world map and pushing the following combination of buttons during the Start Menu:
